Got everything we wanted, all was well until we got to the self checkout, hateful things at the best of times but Sainsbury's Torpoint has possibly the fussiest one on the planet. At least we kept the human busy, having to intervene multiple times

All self service tills now. Which is really annoying when shopping with kids or using cash. Staff are lovely. Fairly well stocked but miss the cashiers!

Terrible, smallest size and poorest stocked Sainsbury, serving one of the largest customer areas in the UK with zero competition.Very limited, you can’t even buy exotic foods such as a grapefruit! Parking is not free and the worst thing is they completely converted to self checkout, to show even more contempt for their customers. No other supermarket in 15+ mile but I still drive from Torpoint to Morrisons in liskeard where I have better choice, better prices and free parking and I am not forced into doing self checkout, well done Sainsbury management! Another local customer driven away! One of many!

The shop has very little sainsbury's own products and forces the locals to buy named" brand. The staff can be sadly very moody and the store can have an atmosphere to it."

It's a sainsburys innit. This one is the same as those ones but not massive. Staff are friendly but all the main tills are self-checkout which is always a pain so I'll be going to co-op down the road from now on. Theres a good greengrocers in Torpoint too so this has inspired me to use those guys for all my veg and fruit. I guess in the long run self-checkouts will be good for small businesses for this reason. The last thing I want to do at the end of a day at work is have to do more work beeping and packing my groceries, flitting between a resigned ennui of the modern world and blind fury at an unexpected item in the bagging area.

Spacious. I'm not sure yet about self-serving yourself! Still have happy smiley staff.Need more checkout staff.
