Chillingham Road Post Office

The staff are super friendly and helpful even though they are clearly overworked and understaffed!

There is no contact details except the post office page - which I have contacted today.The new management surely must realise they need to have more than one cashier on the desk during December which has to be one of the busiest times of the year for postage. It's simply not acceptable the time you have to wait to be served. Tuesday we waited in the cue for 45 minutes to complete banking then today after waiting 25 minutes not moving I left the cue to driveto Wallsend post office which had 3 cashier's on duty.

Leaving this review again as the first one was removed.Arrived at 5.15pm yesterday after leaving work early to ensure I'd arrive before closing so that I could collect a parcel. Was rudely informed that I wouldn't be served as they were closing, and that I'd just have to come back. Perhaps if your opening hours suited those of us working 9-5 then you wouldn't be so busy at 5.15pm and refuse service.

Lady went above and beyond to help me find a parcel today, great service so relaxed and bubbly in manner even though it was busy.

3rd day of going to collect an item at a chosen day from Royal Mail, told by colleague that they are busy and have too many parcels to accept the batch mine is in. No emails/text updates just got to keep on turning up i suppose

I had loads to get through at the till she was quick and not hassled like myself.The line behind got long quick but she never stopped or flustered.Thank you for the quick service, great work x

Originally nipped in to post something and the young lad was really helpful and efficient. Bonus to find out I was able to print postage labels here as well for a small free which is a lifesaver.What really blew me away was the customer service I received when I’d asked for an item I’d seen they sold but had none in stock. The lovely lady (Lydia or Lynne, sorry I’m shocking for remembering names) went out of her way to take my number while she phoned around to see if she could find it in another shop. She couldn’t so instead ordered it in for me and phoned me once it had been delivered! Phenomenal customer service, can’t thank her enough. Great little post office that actually stocks some great items as well!

Went in today to send a parcel to my fiance for christmas and was sorted so efficiently. They are always so lovely and kind! Sorted my returns so easy as well! Went above and beyond as I forgot to print my label (oops). It's such a stressful time for these lovely employees. ABSOLUTE GOD SENDS!

I used to love this little post office but never have I ever been dealt the way I had been recently, rude and dismissive.

I have been there asking them politely but they are very rude.I usually don’t give the people bad reviews but they deserve it
