Personally I’d ignore all past comments as they launched a new programme in 2023 to help improve their service and it really has worked!Registering was dead easy, when I moved I needed a nurse appointment with in a day or so and they made sure my details was registered very fast! I was advised that there’s certain times I can register but usually if really quiet they can look at squeezing me in.. that evening I had a text to say I was registered and the next morning I had a call from reception to book an appointment! I wasn’t expecting that so I was really happy they called and remembered me!Between March and now (5 months) I may have needed to call approximately 6 times, all calls answered in less than 4 minutes even with 5 in the queue ahead of me. So there’s more people on the phone lines picking up the phone than usual doctor surgeries! Secondly they’ve always had appointments to offer me, even if it’s 9-10am, my previous surgery I wasn’t seen in person for 3 years, and took 150 call attempts before getting on the queue system, so having a face to face appointment more than 5 times this year already has made me feel so much more confident when I fall poorly/ need advice.Also, Saturday nurse appointments! Soooo helpful!! I work Mon-fri 8-5 and I used to find it hard but now they have this option when I need a nurse I know a Saturday appointment is available:)! Not sure if this is doctors as well but 100% nurse weekend appointment is an option:) thank you!!

Abbey Meads Dental Practice - paid a private consultation fee for a 30 min hygienist scale and polish. Arrived ahead of time and appt lasted no more than 20 minutes. Rushed from start to finish with careless work, and she polished incisors only top and bottom before saying Finished!" A few days later I've noticed a few sticky parts when teeth are rubbed together and this can only mean tartar or plaque that wasn't cleaned off. Phoned the dental surgery and a lady said that my appointment had been "far longer" than the 30 minute appointment I had made

Tried to register online as this was the most convenient method for me. Receptionist called to say my information was incomplete so I had to come in to fill out the forms in person. Left work early to attend surgery prior to closing to then be informed that new registration forms could only be received during set hours, this information is not on the website or communicated by phone. I understand the need for set times for certian tasks and that this is a minor inconvenience in the grand scheme of things but it shouldn't be difficult to register with a doctor. Ultimately felt it was indicative of the broader service I was likely to receive and therefore decided to register elsewhere.

I asked for an appointment to see the physio at the doctors and was given one straight away. I saw him this morning and was given a thorough examination. What a pleasant experience. I would thoroughly recommend the surgery and especially the physiotherapist.What a difference a couple of months makes. Keep it up Abbeymeads

Great service and much improved since taken over. Asthmatic with chest infection, call answered promptly and telephone consultation an hour later. Very efficient and very polite team members spoken to.

Ruth at reception was on her own this morning, she greeted every client with a smile and positivity, when I came to drop of registration documents at the start of the week she was the same. Dealing with a patient who came 5 hours early for an appointment she still spoke with a smile!! Phone in one ear and dealing with people at the desk! “Go Ruth”

For the last 5 times we needed a GP appointment, we haven't even managed to speak to someone at the phone because the line is alway busy. Having a baby going to the nursery, we need constant help from our GP the service is basically doesn't exist. NI tax hike to fund the health care and this is the result: less money in our pocket and a worse service than before.PS: Also the surgery website today is down. Just unbelievable!

The surgery has improved massively in recent times.It is easy and quick to book an appointment, I think the longest I’ve waited on hold is under 5 minutes (compared to over an hour previously).The staff are friendly, the surgery never seems to be busy or crowded when I have visited recently.Such an improvement compared to how it was before!

I'm a new patient to this surgery and my experience so far is not good. I wasn't given the correct information dropping samples off so I had to do them again which delayed treatment, I get a lot of calls with no voicemail left, sometimes a text and when I call back the receptionist can't tell me why I was called or 'noones left a note'. I called back once after receiving a text asking me to call back and the person couldn't tell me who called me or why, this was after being in hold for 20mins. The phone lines stop working 10mins before closing time. Spoke to a Dr today who knew nothing about me before calling, just read some results off a screen, couldn't wait to get me off the phone.

Logged on a few years ago to leave an absolutely terrible review of this place as it was simply impossible to get an appointment due to the booking system.Credit where it’s due, they have really turned it round and it’s now much easier to book appointments.Please keep up the good work!
