Venus Nails

I loved the place the first time I did my manicure, pedicure, the service was wonderful. A week after I brought my daughters in for pedicure because I expected the same service. The same staff who fixed my nails did for one of my daughter and it was brilliant, my second daughter got a new staff who had no clue of what she was doing and really a joke for 35 quid. I had done reservations for the same staff to do both pedi but obviously it seemed it was more first come first serve which is okey but should be mentioned when booking appointments 3 days in advance and they accepted. Disappointed ☹️

Great staff, I had no appointment just walked in and they accommodated me. Nails look fantastic, just what I asked for.

I have used venus nails for a while now & get my nails done every 4 weeks. The 1st few time where great but then we started having to wait longer & longer because they also allow walk ins. even tho we always booked an appointment prior to going they never stuck to the time because they had so many people in and not enough staff to cover the 5 chair's they had people in.The whole time your nails where being done it was never with the same staff member from beginning to end u were guaranteed to have had every staff member do something to you. They hopped back and forth to cram in as many customers as possible.An appointment that should take an hr never took any less than 2 and a half to 3 and a half plus.My daughter only had her acrylics removed & that took an hr and a half again because they were jumping between customer's.Would I recommend them .... the short answer is definitely not!!!As the old saying goes u get what u pay for, the difference is they aren't cheap either so you really would expect a far better service.2 customers lost but I'm sure they will have alit more walk in that we won't be a massive loss.

This was a dreadful experience. I went in early in the morning just for a soak off as I previously had acrylics from else where. As soon as I walked in I was not greeted and just told to sit!.my nails were already short as it was acrylic overlay and they didn’t need cut. I told her this and she did not listen and proceeded to cut my nails down very short after I told her not to. They were painfully too short. She didn’t listen or care that it hurt me and that I didn’t want that.The lady then began to drill of acrylic and gel polish. She had a very careless dangerous technique in which she cut me 3 times and heartlessly apologised once. She lacked extremely in customer service and care. Once my nails had soaked in the acetone twice she roughly filed them and that was it. I was left with product still on my nails and offered no cuticle oil. My fingers were red, bleeding and sore. Not to mention there was still acrylic on my nails that I had to try and get off at home. When I was paying she said “no tip?”. This is incredibly rude and out of order to say especially considering she had unapologetically cut me and not even taken my nails off properly. I would stay clear of this nail salon. They are very uneducated on nail care. They have dreadful customer service and don’t care about the customers wants, needs or their nails. They only care about money and getting you out the door. I’m appalled!

First time at Venus Nails, such sweet people in this shop. Very gentle on my thin nails and such attention to detail and had a lovely chat to Daniel. Not a local to Edinburgh but next time I’m back I’ll be coming here. Thanks guys!
