I held this review off for 2 years out of diplomacy but unable to now.Shortly after this place opened I went in looking for new veg to try, so I asked the lady with the round face advise. She kindly pointed out a selection which I accepted. I noticed when pricing she was throwing the bags of fruit/veg on the scales very quickly and ringing in a price on the till, she must have been the ‘fastest weigher in Wild Wild Crawley’. I paid the £17.00 bill and went home. Upon showing my wife she immediately pointed out end of life veg that was not fit for consumption and was astonished about the bill, no receipt was given. When next in I brought this matter up with the same lady whom immediately started to jump up and down, exactly like you would when you’ve correctly called someone out. I complained about the receipts also which she did not like. I noticed an immediate change in attitude towards me from her husband and she has often given me evil looks when we passed in public. What’s prompted me now is that I went in to buy coriander after a long time where he brought me out a plant that looked dead with no greenery, he blamed it on the weather which by the way was perfect climate for this product. This week he passes me on the street and gives me a filthy dirty look.So my advise, watch the weights, watch the itemized prices, watch the expiry dates as some packaged products do not have them and most importantly it’s not worth complaining as it’s my fault they cannot throw anything in the bin and cannot be honest. Plenty of other choices in Crawley and they give receipts without asking such as Taj and Choice Halal and I've never had an issue with them.Good luck.
