Mark has just catered for our wedding for 31 people, we could not have asked for anything more, the food was amazing, absolutely delicious, every one of our wedding party were praising the lovely food Mark prepared for us! Mark was so helpful in preparing a menu for us, based on our personal tastes and suggested a sharing style feast which was brilliant. Any queries we had were always responded to immediately. We also had the table and chair decorations provided by his wife, which were beautiful, the room was transformed! I arranged a surprise holiday away at a cottage in Devon for my husband's 75th birthday and part of the surprise was a dinner party for 4 catered by Mark. It was an amazing evening from start to finish, his professionalism and friendly manner added to the success of the evening, Needless to say the food was outstanding, especially the sea bass and well, the chocolate brownies were to die for!! Thank you Mark for everything, especially leaving the place spotless!! I look forward to repeating the whole experience and cannot recommend you highly enough.

We had a private dining experience with Mark on our honeymoon as a wedding gift, the best gift we've ever been given!! Our accommodation was open plan so it was very intimate but Mark put us both at ease by being so friendly and helpful. It was such a unique experience! The food was out of this world, by far the best food we've ever eaten. I would have no doubts about recommending Mark, his food is amazing and such a great bloke too! Thank you!!

Booked Mark for my boyfriend and his mom’s birthday and his parents anniversary in July. Mark was great, was consistent with communication and accommodated last minute changes we had. Food was great and Mark was very professional and great to talk to. He cleaned up everything after, zero work on our end, which was nice as we were able to spend the time enjoying with our family. Definitely recommend booking him if you’re considering a private chef.

We had Mark and his team cater for a 50th birthday party. The party was at our house and had a mixture of adults, teens and kids in attendance. We had planned a murder mystery party with actors to make the night special. Mark was happy to work around the acting and planned courses and food to suit everyone. We had vegetarians, gluten and dairy free guests in attendance. He and his team bought everything with them and left our kitchen spotless. The food was really well received and a highlife a fabulous evening. I would highly recommend and I'm sure we will book them again. Thanks so much!

Mark/Culinary Affairs have catered twice for me now and each time the food was amazing. The first time Mark catered for 36 people with very little notice due to illness of our original Chef, covering the original menu perfectly. Recently Mark cooked again for us for 26 people this time using his own menu and boy was it good. He produced restaurant quality food in our tiny kitchen and very temperamental oven, ably support by his wife Claire. Our party throughly enjoyed everything that Mark prepared and I am already being asked when Mark will be back to cook for us again!I highly recommend Mark/Culinary Affairs for any function that you may wish to have.

We were lucky enough to have these folks cater for an event to celebrate the 20th anniversary of our charity (Storybook Dads). It was complicated as the event was at HMP Dartmoor - so there are lots of security complications for any outside vendors. We also had a mixture of staff, supporters and donors with various dietary requirements.We were so delighted by the fantastic spread they provided - perfect for meat-eaters, veggies, vegan and GF. The cupcakes (also vegan friendly) were decorated with our charity logo and in individual boxes, so were the perfect thing for our supporters, donors and guests to take away.Mark and his team worked tirelessly to make sure everything was perfect. We rarely do reviews, but in this case, with 20 people in our family group, at such a beautiful setting, we feel compelled to do so.We initially booked Mark and his company Culinary Affair to provide themed dinners for all 20 of us, for four of our seven days stay. Not only was the food cooked in an exemplary way, but his attention to detail and the wonderful flavours he produced, won the acclaim of our entire party.His kindness and flexibility in catering for us all was a delight. We were so impressed that we asked Mark to provide the dinner on our final evening, (making this our fifth formal dinner) which was at very short notice and once again he excelled.We have no hesitation in recommending Mark and his company, especially his delightful wife, who greatly assisted in serving and decorating the table for each of our themed dinners.They greatly contributed to the success of a wonderful family holiday, that will remain long in our memories for many years to come.Rose and Gerry Clarkson
