What a great place to hold a wedding . Really relaxed and huge area of space with loverly gardens . Very well run venue.

Great venue for a wedding! The owners couldn’t be more helpful and it’s such a nice spot in the countryside. Facilities are top notch and the new bridal suite is fantastic.

A beautiful venue in gorgeous countryside. Perfect space for a wedding with an outside area and plenty of room inside. The ceilings were very high which made it seem even more spacious. There was plenty of dance floor as well as enough room for tables and chairs. The decor was stunning and made the whole wedding seem elegant and modern. A bride and groom can really put their own stamp on things but it certainly has a charm of its own.

Lovely family run Wedding Venue, and the beautiful barn and gardens create a very pleasant atmosphere, I recommend accessing via Whiddon Down Junction if you are travelling on the A30 due to the very bumpy & twisty lane from Cheriton Bishop (and I drive a Landcruiser!).

We booked the Oak Barn for the weekend of our wedding in July 22. From the outset Katharine was incredibly warm, kind, and super fast at responding to emails/queries!The venue is rural, in the mid Devon countryside, which in our opinion is part of it’s appeal. It’s so peaceful, but we felt relatively easy to get to and none of our guests travelling had issues in locating it (Google maps definitely takes you to the right place!)The barn is truly stunning, a beautiful canvas to customise to your day. The accommodation was all spotlessly clean, perfectly furnished, with really comfortable beds. The outdoor areas are fantastic with beautifully maintained gardens.Every supplier we booked for the wedding spoke so highly of Katharine and John, and the band, who had never played at the Oak Barn before, said they were really well looked after by Katharine while they were setting up.Ultimately we felt so fortunate to have booked here for our big day and we can’t recommend the Oak Barn highly enough.

Simply brilliant. Just had our daughters wedding weekend at The Oak Barn. Katherine and John were so supportive and helpful throughout the preparations, weekend event and afterwards. All our guests commented on what an outstanding location and set up it was for the wedding. Can’t recommend this venue enough.

Unbelievable wedding venue. Had the most amazing few days and the guys were so so helpful and friendly. While we don't plan on having a wedding again we will be sure to recommend to anyone who might be looking for such an idyllic rural venue in Devon, and we will be back to visit when we can to reminisce

Choosing the Oak Barn for our October wedding was such a brilliant decision! Katherine & John were absolutely amazing, answering our questions, providing suggestions and offering such a great venue that is immaculacy maintained and looked after with love and care.
