The worst company I’ve ever had the misfortune to work for I lasted 6 weeks. I’ve been a hgv driver for 8 years do not work for Menzies. That’s the only advice I can give

Apparently the new Transport Manager at Menzies Louth. Decides in a National Crisis of Drivers. That a previous driver with 18 yrs experience and 18 months working on this contract. Was not needed 'after something came to light' ??? Even though my work record there was Clean. Something that he didn't want to explain to the agency. I thank the heavens that today happened. But, DSSmith when this apparent, Transport Manager that is clearly immature comes to you and says he can't fulfil your requirements due to driver shortage feel free to call me to discuss the matter further.Any experienced drivers that insist on respect. You need to decide if this individual has the level of professionalism required to manage staff. What I've experienced today is beyond pathetic. As for Menzies Head Office maybe some extra training is in order so you can hold on to longheld contracts

A driver asked us to take a delivery for a neighbouring office and despite a request on our door that all visitors wear a face mask he returned with the items and no mask, then stood in the office maskless whilst completing his delivery note. Very inconsiderate towards the staff in our office as we here helping him out.

If I could give minus stars I would. First agency shift for them yesterday in artic out of Normanton site. Do shuttle runs all day, long story short it turned into a nightmare that ended up as a 15hr shift and just abandoned and locked in the yard as there was nobody in the offices or warehouse. Transport manager on the phone worked from Essex and didn’t have a clue how to help. Luckily there was another driver (who was only there as he got back from stopping out overnight as he’d ran out of hours) there was no way out of the gates so we literally had to climb over the gates to get out. Thank god the other driver was there to help as I couldn’t climb over the gate myself. Worst experience of a company I could think of. NEVER work for Menzies if you’re an agency driver.

Just had one of these peanuts they employ as drivers sitting so close on my tail on the M606 that l could have had a chat with him. If this is how they behave on the roads l can't imagine how they function as a company.

Sunday morning 11:00 no morning papers AGAIN. Cowboy outfit wouldn't let you walk my dog. Not a one off happens regularly. Shop owner says waste of time ringing up they just get fobbed off. Would give minus 5 stars if I could.

Paper delivery is appalling. There are plenty of people out there who need a job right now and can be reliable to deliver when the shops opens.I think there is a good business opportunity for someone to set up a rival company, they might think twice then about the service they offer.

Don't get stuck with logistics or delivery,Menzies is good and will deliver. I have used for and I enjoyed every bit of it

I have worked for 3 years and loved working all people are nice however Manger not so good
