Stanley House Veterinary Group - Burnley

I’ve just changed to here for my two Terriers after it is constantly recommended by friends. The transition was hassle-free.

1st visit today with my cat Renee. Vet Jill was amazing and I felt througly involved in all decisions as to next steps for Renee who has a persistent skin condition. The reception staff were fabulous and supported and resolved all of my enquiries. My faith has been restored. Fantastic experience.

We have had to have one of our dogs put to sleep.We booked her in at Colne and when we arrived, we were taken to a private room to wait so that we didn’t have to sit teary eyed in the main waiting room. The vet was very compassionate and the process was very straight forward and peaceful.Today we received a hand written card and a packet of wildflower seeds to plant in her memory. It was lovely that the card was hand written and personal instead of computer generated, (that meant so much, thank you).My only slight criticism is that we couldn’t get an appointment quickly. Once you’ve decided it needs to be done, it’s horrible having to wait, knowing what lies ahead!The vets at Stanley House have always been good, I would recommend them to anyone.

Brilliant service great receptionists highly recommended

I would of put a lower star rating if I was to judge on my last visit, I got stuck in heavy traffic coming back from work in Manchester which caused me to be 20 minutes late for the appointment, I apologised but was told that I had missed the appointment and had to book another, the waiting room was empty and the vet stood talking to the receptionists, I just felt no empathy from the colleagues.I would normally leave Stanley house 5 stars as I’ve used them for 30 years and theVets are so understanding but on this occasion I didn’t feel they put the Pet first and they were just teaching me a lesson in punctuality.

First time visit with my new 7 month old kittens. Weight checked and chips checked to register new names. 1 kitten has conjunctivitis and vet was so lovely with them both. I had visions of chasing them round the room as 1 is very nervous but was relaxed and happy. The other is a mini whirlwind was also relaxed and happy.

If I could give Stanley House more than 5 stars I would. I recently had to make the decision to have my best friend put to sleep and they were so compassionate. I cannot rate them enough and thankful for making my pets last moments so special. Thank you for looking after him for the last 11 years you have been amazing.

Highly recommended. The lovely staff saved our little Richie.

First visit as our new Puppy was booked in for vaccinations by the Dog rescue she came from. The service was absolutely fantastic. We'd never used them before as it's the wrong side of town but they're excellent.
