Despite being local it's taken me awhile to get around to visiting this! Great to see this kind of thing coming to Woolwich but I really wish I could rate it higher. It's very small with only a few stalls. Not too bad really given the space and I wouldn't mind so much if the quality of what was on offer was higher. The guy selling meat seemed to be just a regular butcher. I mean, I can get that anywhere even in these days where butchers are not as common as they once were. I order my rare bread, dry aged meat online so why would I get some not very appealing looking meat from here? The lady selling bread had very little to offer and was eating what a prepacked supermarket sandwich... If I was selling quality baked bread I wouldn't be eating a supermarket sandwich . It doesn't give the best impression of the quality of your wares. We got some fudge but it wasn't great. It didn't really taste much of fudge and the flavors were off and artificial. Some of the charcuterie and cheeses did look quite good though and will get some next time. Maybe we were just unlucky with the stalls on the day? Having only been once it's difficult to know. There were a few places you could get something to eat. Street food! They had a jerk chicken place. I didn't try any but it didn't look all that good and it was disheartening to see a microwave... There was a sausage stall cooking large sausages really slowly. Too slowly? Again, I didn't try but they didn't look great and I was put off by the slow cooking of the meat. There was a place doing grilled cheese sandwiches. We tried that and it was good although not outstanding. We have had a lot better in London. The secret of doing great grilled cheese is actually in the choice and freshness of the bread! We tried the Himalayan food which was really very good. The curry was fantastic and momo dumplings good.I would go back, it's ok, but I wouldn't rush back. I think they need to up the quality of what's offered and maybe jam a few more stalls into the space.

So happy that the market is back! The best fruit and veg, nice and friendly people and a lovely hot food after day of shopping. Oh, and when you see a lady selling olives, definitely do try. One of the best ones I've had in ages!

Always enjoy coming to the market there are so many great independent vendors and the food options are all amazing from those that's I've tried so far. They are genuine people behind the businesses and really worth a visit.

We spent an enjoyable hour here and bought some lovely meat, pickles and other stuff. Like most markets though, it was part food and part crafts. A farmers’ market should have more food! Let’s hope it gets support and grows.

OK market. The greenwich one is far better. I think a few more ethnic cuisines are needed with core british food.

It's rather new so not too crowded or big but still about 20 stalls with excellent quality products, very friendly people and live music. It's open every other Saturday and well worth a visit. Excellent breads, Italian cheese & sausage, preserves, German cakes, coffee kombucha, lavender product and much more. There's also hot food and local community representatives.

Farmers market has four types of stalls: Street food, craft, drinks and packaged food.In terms of street food they are international and should have something for everyone at around 5-8£ per meal. From burgers, to asian noodles and Eastern European stews. You can probably find these things a bit cheaper a big elswhere but the overall atmosphere is nice with music and families around. Some local craft workshops sell their pottery and jewelery and you also find a few odd stall that offer e.g. back massages.Overall can recommend for a short stop on a sunny Saturday walk around Woolwich.
