Citizens Advice Liverpool (Walton)

I spent 20 minutes on their phone line trying to ask a question. Every time I was redirected to another part of an automatic menu. After 20 minutes the robot hanged up the phone by saying that „I’m not calling from England or Wales“.

After a long time I got my pip form filled by my very sweet and kind advisor. But I knew more about my advice giver than she did about my problem. I Felt very hopeless on leaving and have little faith in my forms being completed or posted. I did better alone and that was a dreadful result. Previously my experience had been difficult getting an appointment. After waiting in the cold for several days hoping to be seen to maybe I built my expectations up. I appreciate they are there to help for free but if there is nobody competent then they should turn you away. My inability to be confrontational means I left with my tail between my legs. How could I hurt a nice old lady who was lonely and just wanted to be listened to by complaining that I had been there near 4 hours and spent 20 mins at best talking about me.

These places are hugely understaffed! ( no fault of their own I must stress) if you manage to be one of the first in line & get accepted to be seen, & also sit out the 2 hour wait! The people who work here ( a lot voluntarily too! ) are amazing, polite, kind, resourceful, & a lot of people's only outlet for help these day's, I don't envy there job, but admire the work they do

As a volunteer here we try offer appts but they are pre booked in all of the offices we do not sadly do the dropIn service anymore but we hope to resume this in the future we aim to help each person that visits the office in walton to the very best of our ability

I'm sure the cab is helpful for most people, but today I turned up, filled out your form you give everyone, and you told me, to wait, to be called and to expect a 2 hour long waiting time, so I went out for a cigarette, only to be refused entry back into the building, therefore I've lost out on valuable advice that I needed.

I rang 3 or 4 times, nobody ever answered or was ever available to answer according to the message

When you ring their advice line number it states opening times 9am to 5pm Monday to Thursday. In fact they open at 9. 30am Monday, Tuesday, Thursday. I was informed for advice on a Wednesday go to cab Norris Green. I don't know about Friday. I went first thing on a Monday and they opened at 9.45am. The gentleman I saw was very nice. They let me use their landline to try and sort out my query?
