Nice shopping experience.The restaurant is a great place to eat and a great moneymaker for them I think. Nice food. Friendly staff.. Oh and if you join their club for a quid a month you get money off and a free drink every month. Worth joining.

Looking for a replacement greenhouse and heard about Dobbies' outdoor display so I took a look. Very nice salesperson spoke to me (not pushy, she was the epitomy of how to sell well) and gave me lots of advice and info. I haven't committed quite just yet (need to actually move into the new house) but I'll certainly be back here when I finally take the plunge. Quite big tags but these aren't your average B&Q jobs - top quality English made, 4mm toughened glass, short replacement kick panes, square tube stability, finial details to die for, etc. The half frame Victorian will house my expanding chilli repertoire and small citrus collection so it's just a matter of time.

Cafe filthy tables left dirty for ages dirty crocs piling up on tables person on front of cafe no manners very rude. Toilets neede a good clean. Most of the working staff needs a lesson in good manners and customer service. Will never visit here again or recommend it.

Visited Saturday afternoon, about 3. Very busy with long queue. Only two people serving and no-one clearing tables.This meant that customers were forced to clear and clean tables themselves, which to be honest isn't great.However, the two assistants who were serving, despite being run off their feet, were polite and friendly.The coffee was served hot, which is often not always so at busy times in other establishments. The millionaire shortbread was crumbly, slightly too sweet for me but overall very good. The cake was delicious.

I visited the garden centre on 12 November. The garden centre is good and had great offers today. However, the cafe queues are long. The two young girls serving were doing their best but a huge downside to visiting the cafe. I would not have waited to order if had not been for the free drinks with my membership. It is unlikely I will renew my membership as the cafe is part of the shopping experience.

Disappointed with the service. Daughter booked festive afternoon tea for her birthday treat, 4 of us. She upgraded 3 to luxury hot chocolate. No upgrades on their list, then only brought 1 out. Waited and waited for someone to check how we were and see if there was anything we needed. Table next to us, who came in after us, were asked. I ended up finding a member of staff and asking for more tea . Food was lovely but we won't be going again. Birthday girl was disappointed, I'll take her elsewhere in the new year to make up for it.

Great little soft play for under 7s really. Poor service though for drinks etc. I had to leave the kids a queue to buy their snacks. Took so long that session almost over- while putting shoes on waitress walked off with our only half finished drinks and expensive! Could have taken them to main cafe area. She said 'sorry but no offer to rectify. Ruined it for me as highlight of soft play is a nice coffee and sit for a bit, but spent queuing and then didn't get to finish my coffee!

Absolutely exceptional customer service from Robert this afternoon. Seated and ordered through him for the restaurant and the soft play.Very good stop off from the M5 on the way from Cornwall back to Newcastle.Plenty of parking, parent and child included.Baby changing facilities and high chairs. Soft play is £3 and is time allocated slots.Really nice place and very helpful staff.
