After binge watching loads of his YouTube videos I’ve been so impressed with John’s knowledge and his willingness to share it. I knew he’d be the right builder for my HMO conversion. I’ve just had him visit me today to quote, and felt compelled to leave a review as it was such a great meeting. After having a good look around, John was able to find loads of creative solutions to the issues I will have in the conversion. He clearly knows his stuff, he was able to find an answer for everything. He gave me a ball park figure, and gave me several options to go with. He even gave me advice on what work to do if I wanted to change my strategy and flip it. Honestly I can’t believe how much advice he gave me, and he was such a genuinely nice guy. Highly recommended! I live in a very old victorian terrace property up North and in a bit of a state with a damp issue I'm currently having inside my property. After noticing a smell of strong damp in my living room I decided to investigate it myself so I took out both my cabinets and fire surround only to be horrified by what I saw. My floor doesn't have a membrane and it's not good. After having no luck with damp proofing specialists I came across John's YouTube videos and decided to drop him an e-mail. A couple of days later John rang me and we had a nice chat on the phone. John answered all my concerns relating to this damp issue and advised me on the best options. I give John a 5 star review.

John and his team have given us a brilliantly finished open plan ground floor in our little semi; really friendly and felt reassured by John's knowledge and experience. John's trustworthy and honest. His team have done a great job and given us a space that we love.

After my initial enquiry John was very responsive getting back to me. I received a thorough evaluation of my property, cause of the damp was swiftly identified and the treatment needed was explained incredibly well. Very professional tradesman, highly recommend.

Cannot recommend HYPE Building enough. John helped us to design (and construct) our extension, kitchen and cloakroom. He was available from the beginning of the build to the end - his advice was invaluable and he ensured everything was within permitted development rules. His team of professional tradesmen were exceptional, they turned up when they said they would and worked extremely hard to ensure the work was completed before Christmas 2022 - even with the weather against them. They managed the project between them very professionally and were honest and upfront about progress and potential issues. All in all they managed to make the wife happy and that is a massive achievement.

Introduced to John via a mutual friend, I was amazed by how responsive and helpful he was from the very beginning.John is the most down to earth, easy to talk to yet knowledgeable builder I have had the pleasure of dealing with, always available at the end of the phone for a query or to provide assistance (at all hours of the day) - and his extensive building knowledge is clearly evident and was invaluable in helping me with my building queries.John was kind enough to carry out some investigative works for me, and went above and beyond providing me with detailed video's and advice once he had completed his survey.I can't recommend my experience with John highly enough - and will definitely look to seek him out for any future building requirements. I would gladly recommend his company to others looking for a reliable builder.My advice is check out his YouTube channel as well - not only are his videos highly informative (and clearly demonstrate he knows his stuff) - but also hilarious.

Hype building recently completed a full refurbishment of a 4 bed student HMO in Stoke-On-Trent.I had already heard of the team and the quality of work they could provide after speaking to people involved in the property indudustry. The teams professionalism and expertise were apparent from day one as they listened to my requirments and provided options and solutions to get the best results. Designs were discussed and a schedule of works was created to fit into a tight time scale.John and his team were dedicated in providing quality of work that met all building regulations and specification. There was some confusion on the design initially however this was quickly and effectively corrected and it was apparent that customer satisfaction was paramount to John and his team and nothing was too much trouble. The communication throughout the project was second to none with constant updates and clear information provided when further decisions needed to be made such as a new roof being required.John is extremely knowledgeable with all building matters and he is a master at finding snags to get perfection. The whole team provide a truly professional and high skilled service. If you are looking for a hands free solution from concept to the finished item then I cannot recommend Hype Building enough.
