Ordered 2 large breakfasts. Food arrived quickly with missing items which we then has to go back to the bar to ask for. Food was cold on arrival to table. It has obviously been reheated because the hash browns were rubbery and the mushroom was inedible. Bacon was fatty and undercooked. Toast was barely cooked and also cold. Disgusting. Never again!

if I could rate 0 stars I would... terrible service from multiple moody waiters and waitresses, the attitude when giving food I have paid for was astonishing, on top of the food itself being distasteful like a reheated microwaveable meal. drinks were served with ice and no straw although I asked specifically for no ice and a straw on the app... these people cannot seem to read an order maybe stop hiring straight out of high school and read their cv before hiring. unhappy to say the least!!!!!

Location is great but pub was the dirtiest Witherspoon's that I have ever been to. Sat down and when you looked up there was flies everywhere. Tables to close together for people to sit comfortably. Someone sat next to you could read the screen on your phone without having to lean over they are that close.

Orderd a mixed grill and got burnt food. Didn't complain because I was too embaressed. The staff are lovely and I ate there several times this week....I was on a short vacation. The problem is with the chain itself... they appear to be using food that isn't the best...the quality has gone down. Wetherspoons are famous for low prices but when the food quality suffers to the degree that makes you pay a bit more somewhere else for better quality.....there is only one thing to do. Its a real shame because the staff that serve are brilliant and I've watched them work bloody hard. Management please please do something

20 years ago when I was a student, Wetherspoon was great, I used to love the full English breakfast and curry nights.Yesterday was the worst burger I've had a in a long time. I paid £2.14 for extra maple cured bacon and a slice of American cheese - imagine my surprise when the burger came with a slice of generic sandwich cheese that costs a quid for 20 slices at the nearest lidl - an absolute joke, that's not American cheese by any standard. Burger was tasteless, bacon had no taste of maple syrup.Staff was friendly and helpful and the atmosphere is the usual Wetherspoon atmosphere w it's decent. However based on the food, I think i'll have to stay away in the future. A real shame.

Can't fault it for the prices! Had steak for an evening meal, which was excellent value, together with a couple of beers from a small range of draught ales.Decided to go for breakfast two days later before catching the train home as it is served from 8.00am. Service was extremely quick & again was excellent value.

Cheap and cheerful. Chips really nice but not enough of them. Burger pretty good but bit dry but for the price it's well worth it.Staff great and very efficient

Got the Veg full english breakfast and was happy for the price. Can't beat a good breakfast at that £5 mark. And coffee, tea, mocha, or hot cocoa for another £1.35 or so (if memory serves). After feeling stumped on finding a good breakfast under £10 that wasn't McDonald's, glad a local pointed me to The Welkin. Chain restaurant? Sure. Good bang for you buck? Definitely.Oh and that's just breakfast. It's a proper bar with drinks but also food all day.
