Nothing but good things to say about Alder Hey. Unfortunately I've had to use both the A&E and Out Patients more than I would like with my two kids, the staff and the services our a credit to the NHS. While the rest of the NHS is struggling and stretched to beyond breaking point, Alder Hey appears to have it all covered.Thank you.

Every single staff member I have met in this hospital, from security to cleaner reception to nurses to physicians, is a genuine nice person. They are willing to help you without hesitating. The communication between units is excellent.

Alder Hey Children’s Hospital saved my life during WW2 when I was being treated for pneumonia. The time before antibiotics. The time when mother would bring a fresh egg, a nurse would write my name on the egg and it was boiled together with others.After several months and losing lots of weight, I was taken to a rest home in Southport, we walked along the beach every day. I was dressed in a little suit and overcoat, plus woollen gloves which kept me nice and warm.

Attended for a 1st time consultation in March 2023 and on arrival became quite daunted due to the size of the hospital.On entry it was very busy, however there were staff right in front of you so help was immediately on hand we were reassured immediately and felt confident that we would get to the correct clinic without getting lost.

Excellent care for our two year old, every staff member made us feel at ease, looked after us well. car parking (multi storey) was simple, drive in, no coins or tokens to mess around with, well laid out hospital and clean, far better than our local hospital (RPH)

Staff have been more than helpful couldn't do enough. My 11 year old daughter was in for a day procedure on her eyes and was very nervous as its her first time being put out but they have been great with her.

Very positive experience at Alder Hey Accident and Emergency service. I was in and out of the hospital within 5 and a half hours with exceptional service. My time at the hospital included an operation and recovery. All staff were extremely kind, professional and made me feel especially welcome and safe. I felt comfortable at all times and would like to thank all staff who did help me earlier today. Big thank you to all staff at Alder Hey Children’s Hospital.
