Stocks of Bury Used Cars

I have always found Stocks to be very helpful and would recommend them to friends and family. Have had a couple of cars from here and both have been good reliable cars.

Steve sold me a car earlier this year and was really helpful. He didn't put any pressure on at all and was a normal nice guy, not your pushy sales type.A few weeks after I purchased the car from him, it had a minor problem as used cars sometimes do. Steve was so helpful.He got it sorted straight away and I was really impressed with his 'after sales' care. I would recommend Steve to my friends and family

Bought a small car for my daughter who had just passed her test. Steve was really pleasant to deal with and didn't try to oversell to myself and my wife. My daughter loves the car and it has been very reliable so far. In fact we were so happy we've just gone back to buy another used car from him!

I purchased a vehicle from Stocks, and upon driving it home the rear brake caliper seized nearly causing an accident.I called Steve to arrange the issue to be sorted, and was just told 'i sold the car for rock bottom so can't afford to fix it. You will have to bring it back and I will refund you'After asking what he would then do with the car, he said 'I will get it fixed and sell it for more money'.I also noticed a knocking from the rear of the car when test driving it, to which I was told it was probably something in the boot. It has since been discovered that both rear drop links were very worn.I have decided to keep the car as there aren't many of it's type about, and am having to arrange my own repairs at my expense.Disappointing as Steve seemed a very friendly and genuine guy, though he obviously does not carry out any checks on his stock, and has a business model of treating customers like Guinea pigs to find faults on the vehicles he sells.Sad to say I will not be buying from there again, nor recommending the business to anyone.
