Actually staff are brilliant but the security guard is so so rude and unprofessional. It isn’t the first time he has spoken to myselfand my colleagues in such derive manners. I have made a second formal complaint. We had spent some money in the shop and were waiting for a disabled man to pass for the guard to say “stop loitering!” He constantly watches over us as if we are going to shoplift - given I am a director of a business and most certainly do not need to shoplift it will stop me and my colleagues coming in again. Shame.

This place is overpriced, bought some bread from there which was moldy. The staff have a lot to be desired, miserable atmosphere, expensive. Cottingham deserves better than this. Hope the Co Op Headquarters read the reviews, something needs to be done either, new management or close the place down! Sad, how it's ended up from when Safeway had it!

My favourite place to do the weekly shop, the staff are all great, but stand out staff include Pauline, Julie, Ivy, Rosie and many others, it never fails to deliver as a shop, well worth a visit.

The co-op in cottingham is a decent size and they stock a wide range of products, the aisles are all well set out and on my visit on a Monday they were all well stocked, there are plenty of self service checkouts along with manned checkouts. There is a large car park which is the council car park and the parking is free and it is also a long stay car park, handy if you're visiting a few other shops etc.

Self serve facility dreadful. Tried 3 in total.Only one member of staff availableDidnt give me chance to get receipt and so cant prove been overcharged.Shant go there again. Have no issues with the beverley branch

Security guard is awful. Tries to be intimidating and follows you round the shop for no reason, so so rude. I'd like to put in a formal complaint as this isn't the first time. He's known to be really rude by a lot of people and my friend also had an awful experience with him. Disgusting when you're made to feel like a criminal the moment you step in the shop!

This is a lovely supermarket which is spacious and situated in the heart of Cottingham. It has a good range of quality produce including plants and outdoor items and also has a generous car park.

Amazing quality of own label food and drink.The store has great range and you can get almost all you need here.I always opt for own label at coop as it is excellent.The range of fish and vegetarian options is without compare.Good bus coverage routes 63, 103, 104, 105 and I think bus to Beverly via the villages.Well with a visit and to become a member and regular customer
