The food was very delicious the service was also very good. It's just a bit funny and not very fitting that they are playing no copyright music. The music was kinda aggressive. I would recommend some lofi hip-hop overall worth to visit

Not sure why Chinese restaurants in China Town have grumpy staff. I don’t know if it’s a trend or not. I know it gets busy during the day and night, but a little smile can also bring in customers even though lots are waiting outside. It also changes the atmosphere inside the restaurant if everyone smiles. So far, the only people they smile at are the people they have the same nationality. The atmosphere was like the staff are super tired that when we call them they push one of their staff to come to our table and take our order. The food was okay. Lots of selection and lots of Sichuan incorporated dishes. It's easier to get in if there are only two of you, but when you’re in a group, it’s harder since you have to wait for a group to finish their meal.I just wish they also communicate not just in mandarin or cant obese but also in proper English. They are in and English country and it’s best to also learn the language as well - for people who are not multilingual.

A little on the pricier side for hotpot but enjoyed the beancurd sticks, sweet potato noodles, deep-fried crispy pork, vegetable platter, pork slices with the mushroom broth. The Dan Dan noodles were tasty and had a great kick to it. Staff were friendly but did feel a bit neglected with the table at the back of the restaurant

I visited this place last month for my very first hotpot experience which i was very anxious about as i am Vegetarian. From the very beginning the staff was very friendly and helpful with any questions we had.For 2 people we ordered:• 3 broth pot - Beef Broth (which i personally didn’t try), Tomato Broth (was delicious) and Mushroom Broth (this one was very mild, overall good but i preferred tomato)• my boyfriend got 2 types of meat: crunchy pork and beef slices - you can see those on left and right side at the picture, the meat was fresh and he enjoyed it• Tofu Platter (on left middle side of the picture) - a plate full of different tofu pieces which i loved• Glass/Rice noodles (on right middle side of the picture) - i was genuinely surprised with the size of those i expected way thinner noodles. After cooking they were so chewy and i enjoyed them a lot• Marinated Lotus Slices - i always wanted to try lotus and i loved the texture and crunchiness• Seasame Oil Garlic - i definitely recommend it it elevates taste of so many ingredients to the next level!• Potato Slices - it’s the only ingredient i personally wouldn’t recommend as potatoes take a while to cook in the broth but it was still good• Vegetable Platter - it’s a little box of leaf greens, lettuce and napa cabbage were very fresh and crunchy. The only problem was as it was written on the menu as vegetable platter i expected some cucumber or carrot but you get only leaves. It was delicious anyways!• Rice cakes as a dessert - it was my first time having them and i loved the chewiness and sweetnessSo for 2 people we ordered quite too much, I wasn’t expecting the servings to be so big so naturally we weren’t able to finish everything we ordered so it was a little embarrassing.During our whole meal (1.5hish) the staff was checking on our hotpot - adjusting the temperature or adding more water if the broth evaporated. For 2 people we came to 106£ total (with drinks etc) which was mostly caused by over-ordering ingredients. I wish the menu put the information about how many grams or slices you get per serving so we would avoid this problem. We got offered by the staff to take home all the things we haven’t finished. And the last thing which doesn’t regard food or staff: was very pleasantly surprised when i went to the bathroom and realised they provide menstrual hygiene products like pads! It definitely made an extra point to the whole review. We left the place very full and happy, definitely a place to come back to, but probably in a group of 4 to get more value!

This will be the last time to have hotpot in this brand. What an awful experience!!!The reason why I had hotpot owing to I expected to have better quality of the ingredients. This is the third time I had hotpot in this restaurant (twice in London ) and this is the worst hotpot ever in my life. The service is moderate, London is worse. The hotpot base had no flavour what so ever. Extra spicy is extra chilly powder (that’s horrible!!!!). No natural spices aroma. Definitely not authentic Chinese hotpot. Ruined my appetite.Self sauce section: many had out of stock, the missing fruits they couldn’t border the fill it up. You ended up pay for the same but had less.Ingredients: hotpot is all about fresh ingredients and base. Unbelievable, they had used the ingredients I would ever eat. I didn’t touch much about meat. Its colour freaked me out. Perhaps during the New year they couldn’t stock fresh one. However, I wouldn’t expect they serve that kinda stuff on the table where to low down their standards. I might’ve overrated the brand. That was a mistake. This is a way to destroy a customer’s loyalty. I am done with it.

Shu Xiang Ge Hot Pot have a delicious selection of hotpot ingredients with a clean, modern atmosphere. To order, you would need to choose your toppings by filling in a sheet that was given. The food served were enjoyable and easy to cook in the pot. They have a variety of soup bases, cooked dishes, steamed and raw (for the hotpot). Portions were mediocre, some were more than others, if you are coming in a bigger party of 4+ then I recommend to get 2x of each dish or more than usual. The staff here all assumed we were able to speak Chinese. Therefore, there was a lot of confusion. I find that many Chinese restaurants in Chinatown all assume that, or places like Thai or Vietnamese do not. I had to ask the waiters a few times or repeat my words for them to understand. However the staff were friendly and welcoming!I was amazed by the interior and especially in the room past the bathroom. They have stunning backgrounds and brightly lit - family friendly.I found it cool that they have napkins in a drawer at the side of the table, for self service and 2 charging ports (this does not work however). The area was spacious with a trolley to hold sauces and order dishes - this would greatly help the spacing of the table which many restaurants do not do.Additionally, this place only accepts cash and it may be pricey, check their menu and prices outside before entering! Queues are long!

It was a fantastic and authentic dining experience in London. The service was really good and all the staff were so nice. As for the food it is the best hot pot I’ve had in London so far. The spicy broth was so spicy, no one could handle it so we all just cooked in the non spicy side. The quality of the food was excellent as well. Do visit, you won’t be let down.

THIS IS BY FAR THE WORST RESTAURANT I HAVE EVER VISITED IN MY LIFESo it starts with the not very nice waiter who gave us seats in front of the cash register, even though the place was almost empty. (I don't mind being close to the register, but it has another problem, I'll get to it later)So, I have been to hot pot places before, but this one seemed different, no salad bar or clear indications. The waiter just stood there, in front of us, without looking at us after giving us a paper where we had to mark down what we wanted... not a problem with that one, we could imagine what we had to do.But there were very few vegetable options compared to other hot pot places, so we wondered there might be a hidden vegetable bar somewhere at the place so we decided to ask how it worked. The waiter told us with a tone implying we were stupid, how it 'worked' and it was basically the same we could imagine (mark what you want on the paper)So we went with the mild spicy broth. I can handle spicy, but it was outrageously spicy, considering I'm Mexican and used to spicy. After giving us the food, 3 waiters stood in front of us, basically looking at us eat and talking between them in Chinese, possibly making fun of us as we couldn't handle the spicy broth. We definitely looked like foreigners so a warning or instruction written somewhere would have been nice. They also didn't give us a bowl or spoon (it is a broth for gods sake, were we supposed to eat with chopsticks?), just a flat plate and chopsticks, we had to ask for it... cause the 4 waiters were probably very busy on the empty restaurantAs if it weren't enough, the prices were ridiculous considering the amount of food you got for every side dish. 4 pounds for a very small size of rice we were supposed to share for 2 people? 4 pounds for 10 leaves of spinach? But again, honestly price wouldn't be that much of an issue if the service were at least better.

London has crazy number of restaurants, But it’s majority of them are rubbish. This restaurant is one of the exception. We tried A5 wagyu and it was marvelous. The food is just superb, the hot pot was spicy by and yet full of flavor. If you are not habituated to spices, warning will be try the regular broth and not the spicy ones. Atmosphere is nice. The toilet is also clean( yes to me it matters). Over all excellent experience.

A step down from the comprehensive experience and service given at Haidilao, but we chose to go to this spot as the wait there (as it is on any weekend), may have nearly been 2 hours. It’s table service only for the hot pot, which must be chosen off a menu, and there is no bar for the sauces, which must be ordered in advance. But otherwise - a very decent hot pot, good quality of lamb and beef especially, loved the mushroom selection and egg noodles too. The broths were nicely flavoured and we opted for the choice of three: tomato, pork broth, and beef tallow - nicely flavoured and absolutely perfect for the cold weather. Loses a star due to slightly high price for lacklustre service, as has been commented before.
