Davidson's Mains Post Office

This morning I paid in to my account some amount of money. I counted the money before, my wife did and my dad did. What's happened next. At the counter, person who was at the counter dropped the money, and I was told the amount I am trying to pay in is less £20 then all of 3 of us counted at home. What could I do in this situation? I didn't know. I said it was £20 more. I left the place and I'll never come back.

Staff terrible treat customers like idiots please dont go to this post office unless its ur only option ive used it 3 times in about 3 years to top up gas and electric i swear ill never go bk

I had to think long and hard about posting this as I recognise everyone has a living to earn. I wouldn’t normally use the post office but a Christmas parcel was sent here for my son and I needed to pick it up. I also needed stamps. I was told I couldn’t get stamps because they weren’t able to display them/provide them until 9,30am . I understood this and stood aside having collected my parcel. The next customer was served and given stamps!? The transaction took a long time. When I was finally served I asked why the subsequent customer was served and I wasn’t ? It was still a few minutes before 9.30 when they started. Ok, this may be a grey case but the way I was spoken to when I questioned the situation was mind blowing! So rude! I was told not to return to the post office again!? I understand that I was annoyed at them at the unfair service but their level of attitude and rudeness was unjustified.I am so glad I can return to Barnton post office where I have never had a problem. There is a reason why they win awards!

I am absolutely shocked with the service provided here. Man with the glasses was incredibly rude. As soon as I walked in the door, they had a terrible attitude towards me and started raising their voice at me. I have video evidence to prove this. People like this should not be in such customer-facing jobs because they have no social sense. I hope the right action is taken to put these people in their place.Given the string of bad reviews concerning their bad attitude, I’m not surprised why they have 2 stars. Their replies to these comments only support these opinions: they’re probably going to reply to this one in a defensive way like the previous ones, watch.I predicted it: their reply is, as always, defensive; they have failed to learn a lesson, just like from the multitude of bad reviews that came before mine. What a joke this post office is. Complaints serve no purpose at this clown institution.I don’t want to drag the whole post office down - the woman working there occasionally is lovely. The man that used to work there time ago was lovely too. Avoid the two men that work there now, they obviously have some kind of superiority complex going on with the way they treat customers unprovoked.

This is my local post office and every time I have visited the service has been exemplary, courteous and polite. I don't write reviews very often but felt compelled to when I noticed the slew of bizarrely negative comments and slurs in this review forum; whatever the provenance of these derogatory posts, I can wholeheartedly recommend this post office and feel fortunate to have such an excellent service available in our community. Keep up the good work!

Very rude and aggressive staff. I was ordered in a condescending way to queue behind a sign. When I was getting served I was told my particular package required to be signed for which is a more expensive service. The instructions from the gov. Website for the return of my expired passport state that a signed for delivery is not mandatory.When I questioned if the signed for service was necessary I was immediately met with a reply I'm not going to argue with you

This place is a rip off !!! Yesterday they over charged me for sending a regular letter recorded delivery . They charged me for a large letter and yet it wasn’t. I measured my envelopes when I got home after looking at my receipt , 22 cm !!! . On display was Xmas paper bags for £5.99 ! I was shocked as I recognised them from the £1 shop. Beware .!

Have to say will never be back. Despite the convenience of location.I’ve been in three times lately and twice I’ve heard them be rude to customers, but yesterday they finally did it to me.Guy serving me snapped and glared at me, so rude. Was just paying for my post. Absolutely uncalled for.Don’t treat your customers like this. That applies to any business.I can see from the reviews that some have said the same thing about your bad attitude. Maybe learn from it?Update: Nice try. Didn’t ever say you were screaming ever. Said you were rude and snappy.First time very cold with an old, slow, lady telling her to hurry up.Second you told a woman ‘ugh listen lady enough with the questions I am faaaar too busy to be dealing with you.’ (Only me and her in the post office)And the third I was the guy who told you, ‘easy mate there’s absolutely no need to speak to me like that.’ All I was doing was paying for a parcel. Nothing what so ever to do with a one way system.I’m pretty horrified reading the google reviews. You’ve accused people of being drunk, illiterate, never once accounting for your rude behaviour.I repeat. Learn from this.
