We had a hard time finding a window carpenter who could remove our sash bay window to allow for a sofa delivery but luckily we stumbled across Victorian Sash Windows Ltd who were able to come at short notice.Matthew and Eli were brilliant; they were flexbile, understood our needs, went above and beyond to help bring in the sofa and worked to a tight schedule.Polite and trustworthy, couldn't recommend them more and will be keeping in mind for future window requirements!

All round great service, quality and would highly recommend! Staff were really polite, clear and helpful. Everything was explained in detail and having talked through what I wanted they provided a great quote and were done in no time without leaving a mess. My new windows are amazing and couldn’t be happier!

We decided to reach out to Victorian Sash Windows a few months back, to have all windows in our Victorian houses replaced due to many years of wear and tear/ Weathering.We was blown away not only by the level of customer service we received throughout the process, but the craftsmanship and attention to detail put into every window.Before measuring up all the frames we was given a full consultation covering every aspect of what we was looking for and the options available.Unfortunately due to a busy work schedule I was unable to oversee the instalment process, but this wasn’t an issue. I was given frequent updates and feedback whenever needed and kept in constant contact with Victorian Sash Windows throughout making the hole process easy and stress free.Before completion I was given the chance to sign off every window with Matthew to insure I was happy with the level of craftsmanship, needless to say each window was perfect. and I was staggered by the distance each employee would go to making sure I was happy with every minute detail.I have since recommended Victorian Sash Windows to friends and family and they have revived the same level of customer service and quality of work throughout.A brilliant company with dedicated staff, I couldn’t be happier.

Really impressed with this local company offering a choice of traditional timber and 'heritage' uPVC windows. Meant they were able to give good advice on both.We love the look of timber sashes but for us the maintenance is a real pain, getting someone to paint them properly every few years (for less than a king's ransom) is nigh on impossible in London!So we opted for uPVC, and after quite a bit of research (and pestering Matthew with questions) the ECOSlide windows installed by VSW offer the best of both worlds:- Heritage features like run-through (not stuck on) horns, astragal bars, white spacers and sash runs etc to match our old timber sashes as far as possible. You can tell they're uPVC but only if you look closely. Much better looking than uPVC sash replacements of the past. And they look and feel very good quality.- Uses Planitherm Comfort Plus glazing for A+ energy efficiency, and also importantly for us, an invisible coating to help reflect sunlight and prevent rooms overheating in the summer.- Much easier to keep clean than timber because the sashes hinge down into the room.- As carpenters, VSW use pre-painted timber architraves and bullnose joinery to surround the windows, and were able to refit the existing timber shutters. This means from the inside you can hardly tell the difference between timber and uPVC. Other companies I spoke to said they either couldn't refit the shutters (so we'd have to pay for new ones), would charge extra to do so, and/or would fit uPVC architraves.- We really impressed with how good sound-proofing is, even compared to a timber double-glazed window one of these replaced.- We opted for a trickle bar in the bathroom to help with condensation and actually you can hardly see it, from the inside at least. They've done a good job of hiding as far as possible a feature that can really be stand-out ugly on other windows.The process of ordering and installing was all very smooth too, with Matthew and his team a pleasure to work with. The team used dust sheets and hoovered regularly to keep the dust down, and made-good all disturbed plasterwork. All I need to do is touch up the paintwork at some point.Overall really pleased indeed, and looking forward to a home that'll be easier and cheaper to keep warm this winter.
