Hi, we contacted Acre when planning for single level rear extension and plans for a potential loft conversion at a later date. The service that Alistair and his team provide is excellent.Loads of ideas given and time to talk over zoom to discuss.Even throughout the current pandemic his team are always available to provide assistance.Once you sign up to using Acre, there is very little worry. they contact/submit all plans required and package everything together ready for your chosen builder.I would defiantly use Acre again if needed and will be recommending to anyone i know who is currently planning work.Massive thanks to you all at Acre, looking forward to seeing the plans come to life.All the bestGraham and Kimberley Dickinson

If you're in need of architectural advice, look no further. I have just completed the comprehensive, and highly beneficial, 'Needs & Options Review', with Alistair and his team at Acre Design. It was money well spent!Having had other architects out who wouldn't even entertain what I had envisioned, meeting Alistair at the property was like a breath of fresh air! From the get-go, Alistair was attentive to my ideas and his vast knowledge of regulations and planning, having worked in Building Control, coupled with his desire to make them work was commendable.An initial consultation, taking measurements and drawing plans, followed by a meeting to discuss the options, Acre Design have been brilliant, knowledgeable and, importantly, approachable too. They keep you in the driving seat whilst being realistic in what is achievable and will take the seed in your mind for your project, as they did mine, and show you possibilities and options you hadn't thought about.As part of the Needs & Options Review, I was given access to my own personal online 'Mood Board' and this was brilliant. It enabled me to showcase ideas I found to the team and see what the team were thinking of too. Alistair found some wonderful inspiration for my project with materials and construction techniques I hadn't considered.In the long run, it is easy to see why a Needs & Options Review with Acre Design will save you money. Changes to plans and practicalities of your design done at this early stage is way more cost effective against needing to make adjustments when you have full architectural plans drawn up. Acre Design's Needs and Options Review has opened our minds to the possibilities and opportunities presented by our new living space, in a way that is cost-effective, budget-focused and centred on our living needs. Through his detailed knowledge and understanding of building design and regulations, as well as his personable, engaging manner, Alistair manages to develop solutions that achieve what we need while actually enhancing the aesthetics of the space inside and out. Alistair was friendly and professional and listened carefully to what we wanted. He translated our requirements into drawings and specifications that satisfied building control and planning requirements, and allowed the builder to build from them without the need for additional design information.
