Calton Lees Car Park (Chatsworth)
Conveniently located and with easy access to path leading to Chatsworth house on one side and also with one end leading to the garden center. We were in during a weekend and a horse riding school gathered in the car park and it was a treat for the children to chat to the riders and admire the animals.

Two minute walk away from some of the best views and wild swimming in the Peak District. Don't listen to the mardy older reviewers, the carpark has toilets, is easy to find and is not far away from the main house. Absolutely beautiful scenery and wildlife. A must see for all ages. Perfect access and exit routes in and out of the exhilarating River. Perfect place for a picnic.

2 minutes walk from the river, an ideal picnic spot. Has a snack cabin and chatsworth garden centre is 2 mins walk away

Car park was £3 to get in but the quality of service was very poor. No toilets for the kids. Very uneven, so high risk of damaging the underneath of the car. And was so muddy that my in-laws car slid down a slope and got stuck, we had to rely on the kindness of a few other drivers to push us out - was a miracle we didn't slide into another car. And no staff anywhere to be found when you needed them.

Well positioned for the many walks that weave through the Chatsworth estate, but it gets full quickly at busy times so be there early. £5 charge is okay.

A convenient place to park for Chatsworth House, where we visited the Christmas Market. It’s approximately 20-30 minutes walk from the car park to Chatsworth House. The route by the river was very muddy and a little boggy in parts. Suitable clothing/footwear should be worn. The car park was £5, which was good value. The car park surface is a bit rough in places.

Parking is free between 9th January - 16th March which was an unexpected bonus. Very big car park with plenty of spaces. 10-15 minute walk to Chatterton house.
