Dog friendly cafe, with very friendly and helpful staff, a refuge and a warm welcome for those walking in the park on these wet and cold winter days. And in the summer somewhere for the grownups to sit and have a coffee while the kids enjoy the splash park. Good choice of ice cream for the kids.

Pleasantly surprised as I'd read the reviews beforehand. Arrived around noon on bank holiday Monday and it was relatively quiet. I wasn't expecting much, and the menu was a little uninspiring. Ordered a cheese sandwich for my daughter, and I had a jacket potato. The girl serving didn't know how the potato was cooked and I had to ask her to check with the chef as I didn't want a microwave job. The potato came with plenty of butter and was nicely cooked, skin was crispy - it came with a salad that had far too many strong raw onions though. This place could improve considerably with a few minor improvements to choice of food and improved service.

Canolfan visitor centre and cafe
It was our first visit and the lady who served us made us feel very welcome. We were allowed to take our dog inside, but we chose to sit outside with our ice creams, where we had a wonderful view of the trees of Cyfartha Park in autumn. The restaurant was spotlessly clean and modern looking and we will definitely return in future.

Only visited playpark & splashpad which was really enjoyed by 8yr old. Didn't use cafe. Small parking area but easily accessed by walking. Changing area & toilets provided

What a lovely place. Staff friendly, safe play area for children with a splash pad. Dogs allowed in cafe area.

Lovely cafe, which sits next to the kids' park in Cyfatha Park. The coffee is nice, the food looks really nice although we didn't eat there.The glass front gives you a good view, and there is an outside area with plenty of seating. This would have been a lovely spot to sit if it wasn't pouring with rain.Staff were friendly and accommodating.

Only poped in for ice cream after being in castle etc. Wouldnt mind going again for dinner seemed clean and tidy. As was cleaning at time poped in

Canolfan visitor centre and cafe
We had a lovely visit. My father (on his mobility scooter), my wife and myself called in and had a coffee. The food looked lovely. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the facilities were good and clean. We will be going back to visit again in the near future. The café is DOG FRIENDLY
