Scott Cottage

Spent a week at the fabulous Scott Cottage at Loch Katrine. It was such a comfortable and cosy place we didn't want to leave. The furnishings are to a very high standard, spacious bedrooms and best equipped kitchen I have ever experienced. The warm log fire just finished off that homely feel. Its situated right on edge of the beautiful Loch and was a fantastic location to experience all that the area has to offer. The booking process was very informative and we were afforded some very helpful local advice before our arrival. (Thank you Alex!) It has an excellent little café at the pier which serves great coffee/cakes and fantastic selection of food and I'd highly recommend this cottage to anyone. Cant wait to go back!!

We spent a week in the cottage mid September, and it was absolutely beautiful. The location was breathtaking and the cottage was extremely comfortable and well equipped. The remote location made it so peaceful, with beautiful light pollution-free night skies! Plenty of supermarkets deliver to the cottage so the distance from local shops was no problem at all. We were also able to launch our stand up paddle boards about a 5 minute walk from the cottage. The owner was extremely helpful and replied to emails very quickly.

We stayed for a week in September 2021 and we cannot wait to return to this place. The location really is quite spectacular, with views out the windows through the trees to the loch, which changes daily, from misty and moody to sparkling in the sunshine. It is remote and peaceful. The property is part of what used to be a grand hotel on the Victorian tourist route, and the superior standard of the decoration, furnishing, fittings and grand dimensions gives it that feeling of luxury. Lots of history and lovely places to visit.

The cottage is beautifully decorated with a well equipped kitchen. The location at the edge of Katrine is stunning and my family enjoyed alfresco drinks to take in the breath taking view. The owner was very welcoming, providing some local treats to welcome us and was extremely helpful throughout the trip. It was a perfect destination to relax and recharge.

What a lovely week spent at our hostess Alex's beautiful Scott's Cottage. So well furnished, comfortable and in a beautiful location.. Exceptionally well organised kitchen and the bedrooms are lovely. You must come and visit.

Really nice stay and we had a great holiday there.The house is located in a very quiet location next to the beautiful loch Katrine. The owner has put a lot of effort in to making the house comfortable and installed some high quality kitchen and laundry equipment.There are a lot of activities in the surrounding areas suitable for families (including mountain biking through the forest from Aberfoyle and the three lochs forest drive)Hope to be able to go back again and stay another week soon!

A beautiful cottage in a stunning location. We stayed for four nights with our two children (11/9) and had a wonderful time.Alex the owner, has taken great time and consideration with the contents and furnishings in the cottage and the cottage caters for your every need.Located right on Loch Katrine we made sure we made the most of the Pier Cafe and walked the surrounding area.

We stayed at Scott Cottage earlier in the year and loved the peace and tranquility of the area. The house is absolutely beautiful, especially if you like style and comfort as well as lots of thoughtful touches as well a practical things. We had a pretty wet week but the washing machine and heated airer meant we didn't have to worry about drying clothes out. The log burner was just what we needed for snuggling up with a glass of wine and the Stirling Monopoly was lots of fun, we then visited Stirling and spotted lots of the streets from the Monopoly. Thanks again Scott Cottage we will definitely be back again.

What an amazing cottage in a beautiful and isolated spot. We absolutely loved every minute of it here. Ideally situated at the end of loch Katrine for those who like peace and quiet but also access to nearby lochs and mountains. Perfect.

My family had a wonderful time at Scott Cottage in September. This was a very stylish and comfortable base for our stay. Everything we needed was supplied and local supermarkets deliver to the door. The situation is stunning with walks straight from the door. Ben Lomond is nearby if you want to bag a Munro during your stay. The Pier nearby offers excellent food if you want time off cooking and has magnificent views over the Loch and a warm Scottish welcome. We hope to be back!
