Golden Sands Swimming Pool

The pools were too cold, especially the toddler pool, where we took an 8mth old for her first swimming lesson, we booked for around lunchtime for this reason thinking would be warmer then. Changing rooms also.freezing. I suppose should be expected because very early season but to be fair just because we've booked an early deal we shouldn't experience anything less than a high season visitor. All though the indoor pool area was a nice and clean,tidy this distracted from our overall experience.

A great pool, superbly maintained with ample lifeguards available a dlume is available but only opened when staffed. There is a great little pool for children. The changing facilities are not going to be to everyone's satisfaction as they are communal and so are the showers. There are sufficient lockers available for guests. You are advised to book your swim sessions as the venue is extremely popular.

No e place expensive 5 pound pint ametitys expensive. Good for kids

As a holiday maker there I was quite annoyed. Paid for a holiday only to find out the outside pool was not open. The play area on the astro type surface states no dogs but there was quite a few there . Not good enough !

We stayed here last week for our annual holiday, we had our own caravan so was at the bottom on the camping site. The staff was always very helpful and polite, the only problem I found was that there wasn't enough grassy areas outside near the big screen. This year we bought our dog along and felt a bit penalised for doing so, I appreciate why dogs can't go on the false grass so would of thought the area near the bar and big screen would be proper grass. People pay a lot of money to have their own caravan sited there plus all the fees and can't sit where they want with their dogs. Other than that it was a pleasant holiday all round

Great pool lovely and warm.Disappointed the outside pool side was not working at all, also strange opening times, closed for dinner and closed for the day st 16:00.

Nice and clean pool and the lifegaurds looked to be doing thier jobs properlyUnfortunalty in the session we went to none of the kids stuff (taps or buckets) seamed to be working.And compared to other Haven sites we have been too it's a better pool than blue dolphin. But no where near the likes of hafan y mor. Just a basic pool with a single slide and a kids pool which was very shallow ideal for very young children.The pool does look quite dated now hopefully they look at redeveloping this site as it's a nice friendly site nicely located.

It's a really enjoyable Haven site. The only criticism I have is for the Quayside bar, you go to the bar order a drink and have to wait for it to be delivered to your table. The staff were really busy running around delivering drinks when they could be stood at the bar serving them, didn't make sense.

Awful experience at this Haven.We had our belongings stolen out of a locked locker and the response from all staff on site and Haven in general has been unacceptable and pathetic.On top of that no family changing rooms had locks, we had to ask repeatedly for things missing out of the caravan (which resulted in us having to buy things to be able to cook), we were only told on arrival that no food was served in the pub/restaurant and the bin men made so much noise at 6am on two mornings it woke everyone up.Quite frankly its awful. Especially for the prices they are charging.The Experience Team are a joke.

Unisex changing room, every toilet lock broken. Complained every day of holiday, was told maintenance firm had been told, but hadn't fixed it. Wife had man try to enter her cubicle and she had to kick door closed on him. Just plain awful. Can't believe haven didn't fix SAME day let alone every toilet lock broken. Wouldn't have mattered if male and female changing rooms, but with unisex the toilet facilities MUST be perfect. Haven have no idea of safeguarding. Men could walk in on women or children and vice versa a man could be accused of something when all he was trying to do was use a toilet. Absolutely not good enough from Haven. Won't be returning as staff looked blankly at you with half a smile letting you rant and on departure I felt that nothing would be done and laughing at the daft guest who dared to complain. Also large outdoor pool slide which was one of attractions to visit, wasn't working at all during stay. Unfortunately beginning to be a sorry rundown dirty campsite.
