Hey there!I just wanted to quickly share my experience with you for review purposes. I recently stayed at a fabulous hotel, and I must say, the hotel room and customer service were absolutely amazing! I had such a fantastic time.I highly recommend everyone to choose this hotel when visiting this city. It is conveniently located near everything, making it super convenient to explore and enjoy all the attractions.Take my word for it, you won't be disappointed!

The hotel was easily accessible from Edinburgh Waverly. Just a short walk from the platform to Market Street entrance - quite handy for my mom (who isn't a huge fan of walks). It was identifiable from the get go, and check in went smoothly with no fuss.We came in a little bit earlier than check in time, but the reception staff were kind and accommodating, and offered us 2 rooms to start with (the 3rd would be available upon return from our short first day excursion) so we could drop our luggage and go on a walkabout.Breakfast instructions were given and we were directed to the lifts where we could access our rooms. I have requested for all 3 rooms to be on the same floor and they were extremely kind for honouring that request. They also prepared one of the rooms with a welcome platter for my sister and brother in law who were visiting with us as a part of their honeymoon leg. Much appreciated, guys! They totally loved it!The rooms were clean, the bathroom was huge and everything sparkling - nothing to fault. Beds were comfy and toiletries were available upon request at reception. Airconditioning was superb! There was a small coffee and tea bar in the room as well as a mini fridge, and the room came with a safe, a big wardrobe space complete with iron and ironing board and a handy dandy hair dryer. For breakfast, they had a large selection of hot and cold breakfast options, and even a chef's corner who made omelettes on order (you can put in anything you like from his little ingredient counter). The staff were really helpful and kept clearing the tables whenever you were done with your glasses and plates. This overnight stay was my first here, and definitely one for the books! Will definitely come back - highly recommended!

The hotel is wonderfully located on the edge of the old city and next to the train station. That is where the good ends unfortunately. We are all familiar with the saying “it’s the little things that make a big difference.”Well, I compiled a list of all the Little Things they got wrong:- AC turns off on its own every few hours.- Breakfast buffet has some signage, but the order on the sign doesn’t correspond to order in hot bins.- Breakfast buffet omelette station Chef used one burner despite the line of guests. (8 guests in line at 3-5 minutes per guest, that’s about 24-40 minutes waiting for an omelette.)- Pancake sauces not labeled. Is it honey? Is it syrup? Maybe!- Provided hair dryer has three pronged plug, socket in the bathroom only has two prongs- Adjoining room door is a single door, meaning you get to hear everything your neighbor says or does. And they get to hear you run the hairdryer next to the door because that’s the only three pronged outlet near a mirror in the room.- Bedsheets don’t fit the king bed width. Sheet went literally to edge of top face of mattress. Had to ask for a second sheet to turn sideways so we could wrap it under the mattress.- Roach/insect trap under the bed.- Bar does not have a bartender who knows how to make their signature drinks, or even correctly make standard mixed drinks. (No, coconut flavored Tequila does not go in a margarita.)- When I brought the poorly made margarita back to the bar and requested it be made with normal tequila they refused and insisted it is standard to use coconut flavored tequila. It isn’t. But like everything else at this hotel, caring just the tiniest of tiny bits could have resulted in a pleased customer.- Bar is under stocked, 50% of items we asked for from their menu couldn’t be made.- in room Toilet had a poop streak on the back side of the seat upon arrival.- Pillowcase had a brown spot on it.So, if you are somebody who doesn’t mind any of the above, this is the hotel for you! I will not be staying here again.

Stayed at this hotel for a short city break. Centrally located. Room was clean. Breakfast was exceptionally good. Reception staff were very friendly. The bathroom in the bedroom was incredibly small. The beds were very uncomfortable. Matresses need to be upgraded.Shower had zero pressure.Very noisey outside in the mornings.Walls and doors were paper thin. We could hear other guests coming home late at night (they weren't making much noise) but the walls are paper thin.It was -1 degrees when we were there and the condensation on the windows was so bad that there was water dripping on to the carpet....Overall, not a bad hotel but they need new mattresses in the rooms and new windows.

I would give 0 star if I can.I booked a room for my friends, who travelled nearly 5 hours by train from London to Edinburgh. On arriving at half pass 11 at night, the hotel staff refused my friends' check in! And the reason is they are not the person who made the booking!I have been travelled a lot, and never have heard such a ridiculous reason to refuse the guests!Imagine that persons has been done such a long journey and felt so tired, but they couldn't check into the hotel for a rest!By the way, the staff was so rude... the attitude he had taken was unacceptable.

Leonardo Royal turned out to be a great choice for my trip to Edinburgh.Initially reluctant because of the medium rating and the lack of sufficient restaurant pics, but I selected it because of the great location (indeed it was) and the low price (£129).Although my room was standard (looking at the back) following my request, they offered me an accessible room 324) overlooking Carlton Hill (and the less pretty train station).Room was cosy and well maintained, with a small double bed (that can be an issue for two people). Espresso machine, tea and cookies.A mistake on having my room cleaned the right time was adequately addressed by the staff, offering 2 complimentary drinks.Breakfast room was nice but a bit fuzzy due to high occupancy. Food selection adequate, including an omelette station, a bit short on sweet options.

Rooms were very clean and beds comfortable. Came back late one night but still managed to got some decent food and a beer. Just up from the train station and many of the main attractions.

If only there was better climate control. We couldn't get our room cooler than 75°. Breakfast is fantastic and the staff is great.Be prepared for smaller rooms than what we experience in the States.

We went for a short city break and not disappointed at all. Location was really good. The staff friendly and helpful. I could left my luggage’s until I took my train. The location was really good , 4 mins to the royal mile taking one of the closes. Just the toilet little bit small but equipped with all the necessary things. Thank you very much for everything
