The Groom Room Gloucester

Took my long haired border collie puppy for the first time. Really impressed with the quality of service and the price! Only £2 extra for mini spa treatments! Staff were really understanding about my puppy being a rescue and acted patiently and calmly. Would definitely visit again & recommend to all.

I have a timid Chihuahua called Bruce who does not deal well with separation. He is always so happy when I collect him from the groomers here, they are patient and attentive with him and it shows.When I return Bruce is normally showering the groomers with affection, which reassures me that he is comfortable with them as he behaves very differently when he is scared or upset.The groomers themselves are friendly, knowledgeable and always enthusiastic.Initially I meant to take Bruce regularly to desensitize him to being touched by strangers, I actually plan to keep coming back for the blueberry facial though! It sounds silly, but there is something so indulgent about giving your dog a big cuddle and getting a whiff of blueberries.

They do a great job I take my staffie/bull mastif there to get her nails cut.

This was the first time I had taken my 5 month puppy since losing my 14 year old dog who never had a bad experience at this grooners. I am not sure if there has been a change of staff recently but I was greeted in a condescending manner on arrival and informed I could not have a full groom despite trying to book this. Trying to have a reasonable conversation with this person was difficult due to the relentless barking of another dog which upset my puppy. I was told that I should have brought him in at 3 months as part of the awareness programme but this was never alluded to at the time of booking. I left my puppy there and returned after an hour to hear him whining. I was advised that he had been crying and whining ever since I left and had nipped her. For so called experts there is clearly an issue here as he is perfectly happy being handled and groomed at home with no issue. Surely an experienced groomer would know how to handle a variety of dogs and adjust their work accordingly. I was handed his collar and lead and told in a surly manner that the collar was too small. This is in itself surprising as it fitted perfectly on arrival. Overall a very unsatisfactory experience and this makes me wonder if I would use this branch again until groomers who care and have the necessary skills and experience are employed.

This was my first time using the groom room and for the cost of £37 I’m not impressed with the results of my dogs groom.Firstly her eye is extremely red and has not stopped weeping since picking her up, her nails look as if they haven’t been trimmed at all, one of her paw pads hasn’t been cut and she was given back to me damp.I most probably won’t be using the groom room again after this as I can get a better service for a better cost elsewhere.

I previously had some good experiences with groom room however my most recent was unacceptable and they didn't offer any options to make it right. I booked online but the date was wrong and I wanted a full groom. I cancelled this booking and I called in to speak with a lady and book another appointment. This lady did not put the booking in correctly which meant I had to carry my large dog in and out of my car as she is 14 and has some limited mobility. Not only this I am pregnant and drove about 20 mins to get there. When I do arrive there is not enough time to groom my dog as the lady did not change the times. But all I got from them is that I made an online booking and basically it was my fault. I kept reminding them I called in and spoke to someone. No offer to at least see how far they could get, I had to leave with my dog after all I did to get there. It's such a shame as I travelled to get there but didn't mind as service was good. But this was not ok as I clearly struggled to get my dog there to the appointment I correctly booked but had consequences due to staff not doing their part correctly. Hopefully no one else has issues

Went there as had purchased a new puppy walked in the place was dark and dingy really not very inviting didn't stock any quality puppy food I went in to get Orijen,and to be honest dumped the trolly and got a taxi to Jollies and it was 100 times better

Unacceptable for them to allow me to book online and and receive confirmation for me then to be turned away saying that there is no booking. I understand when you are short staffed but I need to be informed that it has been cancelled before hand rather than at the door. Poor customer service.
