Literally tried to kill me mid-ride. I unlocked a bike, started riding with it, then the bike decided to just lock itself in the middle of the road, while I was crossing. Thankfully oncoming traffic just stopped but this is the second incident in a span of 5 days. Then the app just kept assuming I was still on the ride. Tried locking it, said I was in a no parking zone and couldn’t move because like I said the bike locked itself.I normally don’t leave reviews like this but endangering users like this is simply unacceptable. Their contact center is unreachable too.

Update on my last review:Lots of improvements. The bikes are a lot better, much more comfortable to ride, thought the seats are still too low - main users are men, especially since these ebikes are so heavy and men are taller there needs to be a way to increase the saddle height! And I hope it will be possible to push beyond 25km using leg power because atm Forest stops the bikes from going any faster (it's possible with Lime bikes). The other good thing, which I really love is the free 10min. There were some issues at the beginning and they somehow didn't work for me but that seems to have been ironed out.And being able to get another addition 3min by watching ads is also a great idea. The free 10min and the free 3 min are the main selling point for me tbh. There have been lots of improvements on the app as well. Though there was a major outage this week the team resolved it quickly and refunded out the resulting extra minutes the outage created.Their customer service team is outstanding, very quick to respond and you can tell they are keen to solve any issues that arise quickly. Also for some reason their bikes aren't stolen all the time and left in places where they shouldn't be... Lime take note!Forest is still not perfect but since Lime put me on experimental pricing a couple of times (they increased the prices for a few customers to see if they liked it - I didn't), I am now mostly using Forest. And once you get used to the app, which admittedly still isn't quite as intuitive as Lime it's actually quite a good product.

One of their bikes damaged my car (broke a light and a scratch down the side) and they said they'd fix it, but then changed their tune. They won't talk on the phone and I've ended up filing a court claim. How anyone can have bikes all over the city without taking any responsibility for the damage they cause is beyond me.

Assessed against Lime, Forest scores very well. Their £8 charge for 120 min compares favourably to Lime's equivalent £10.99 charge, particularly with the 10min free riding daily thrown in. Forest bikes also tend to have less wrong with them. I have done 50 rides with Lime since starting cycling again and needed to change bikes due to issues on 16 occasions. Not so with Forest - only a couple of times so far for a comparable number of rides. Forest bikes also feel sturdier and better maintained. They are also cleaner. The only downside experienced so far is there are fewer of them.

BAN DOCKLESS BIKES AND SCOOTERS FROM GREATER LONDONDockless bikes and scooters are a menace to public safety and an eyesore in Greater London :· Blocking entrance doors to homes, offices, and shops· Blocking fire escapes· Blocking crosswalks· On Private property· Blocking bus stops· Blocking Tube entrances· Leaning on glass windows· Knocked over· Vandalized and abandoned· Dumped in canals· Risk of life for blind or visually impaired people· Riders using pavements and public pedestrian squares to speed around traffic· Riders Not using bike lanes or roads when there is space· Riders DUMPING these like trash all over our city! The RIDERS have NO respect for pedestrians, public nor private property. The SUPPLIERS do NOTHING to enforce the rules they have created nor collect them in a timely manner.I have emailed them many times when my own building MAIN door was blocked – 200 people could not get out if there was a fire as bike was leaning against the door which opens out! This happened 3 times already!!!It’s time to END this and BAN all dockless bikes and scooters, the cost to our way of life outweighs the benefit.Focus on DOCKED only in the future and take London back for PEOPLE!

One start for allowing users dropping bikes on payments. People with prams or disable have to walk on roads that is not safe.Human forest responded - call us and we will come and remove a bike. And what people with prams and disables suppose to do while they are coming? - waiting there; use road instead of pavement;…

First time I tried to use it I couldn’t park anywhere near where I wanted to go and second time I couldn’t even register to ride a bike at all. Use lime regularly, more expensive but at least it works.

Fed up with multiple Human Forest bikes being left outside our block in a quiet street. We didn't ask to for a de facto 'bike park' outside our house, but that's what in effect we've been forced to have. No help from Human Forest. Basically the attitude is..'tough, get over it'

OK, but very uncomfortable because they seem to have solid tyres. You have to stand up on bumpy roads. I have only become aware of Green Bays and the limits of the operational area since reading reviews. I don't seem to have been charged for not parking in a Green Bay. I still have no idea how much the parking charge is. A large area between Central London and the Southern area of operation has no Green Bays.
