I’m not normally somebody who reads or writes reviews. But having been messed around up until the point when & where my car was going to be allocated for repair, I read the reviews, & I have to say I was extremely worried what sort of job would be done!Now I just feel the need to speak positively. I’ve just had my car back, & though a bit dusty inside, the Merthyr branch have made an extremely good job of the repair, plus they were very also friendly people to deal with.

Awful service. Sub standard workmanship. A 2 week job has taken over 2 months and returned for work to be rectified. Car returned and still not road legal. If you are contemplating using these I would advise against it. I'm sure some guy down a back alley would do a better job. The pictured was how the car was returned

Work wise I have no complaints. But the time keeping and customer service it's very poor. If they cant give date and time of work completion.then don't give hope to the customers. They told 2/3 weeks and took more than a month for the completion. And they promised a day for collection and the worst thing is on the same day they are not attending the calls. I don't want others to happen like this. So beware if u give only if u have enough time like two months whether it's minor or major damage.

My insurance company gave me the choice of IRG Cardiff or IRG Bristol I chose IRG Cardiff, I then had a call from IRG Merthyr asking me if I wanted to drive my car down that day (Monday) or wait until Wednesday for them to collect it from my address. I said I would rather sort it it on that same day but i would need to call them back to arrange a time because I wanted to ensure I had a friend follow me there incase my car didn't make the journey I was told that wouldn't be a problem and to call back to let them know. When I had made an arrangement with a friend I tried call IRG Merthyr back numerous times for the duration of an hour, each time after selecting the appropriate options I was left to ring through and then sent to voicemail. I managed to find the IRG head office number, when calling the head office I was answered straight away and giving my appointment time no problem.I arrived 20 minutes prior to my appointment time, I entered the office 5 minutes early, then proceeded to wait close to half an hour to be seen to. I was given my given my courtesy car and sent on my way.A week later (Friday) IRG contacted me to let me know that my vehicle was a write off and that they'd be coming to collect their courtesy car on Monday and that I could remain using it for the weekend (nice of them). I expected to receive a call between Friday and Monday to give me a heads up on a collection time, but no, I had a phone call at 8:15 am letting me know that they were 2 minutes away. Communication was far from where you'd expect it to be. Staf were polite and friendly but I didn't feel like I knew what was going on at all times. Or if I would even be able to get in touch if I needed to.

If your car is still drivable and there’s only cosmetic damage, don’t bother going here. Been taken advantage of because I’m a young driver and they keep pushing back my appointment when the incident happened months ago. Had it been worse and more damage they would’ve fixed it straight away, totally unfair. Terrible customer service, not helpful or empathetic at all. Very unhelpful and when my car does finally get fixed, I definitely won’t be back here again.

DON’T USE IRGDEFINITELY DO NOT ALLOW YOUR CAR TO BE FIXED BY THESE!!!If you had/have an accident, please take note of this review and state that you DO NOT WANT IRG to be allocated the job… 23 weeks they have had my car and, it was meant to be fixed 8 days ago and I’m still waiting, apparently they are still waiting for a part, 23 weeks later.I WASN’T GIVEN A COURTESY CARI HAVEN’T had 1 telephone call.Worst experience EVER!!Every time I have called over the last 23 weeks all I have had is, waiting on parts, still waiting, and waiting. And guess what, they are still waiting!Your lucky I can’t post with zero stars, don’t even deserve the 1 star.

Had my car due to a hit n run in September went into irg with only 3 wheels. Came back to me couple days ago like new

Took months to sort the car only for it to come back with cigarette burns and staining on the seats, terrible mumbly customer service with no empathy or understanding, they will just send you off to call someone else and fail to resolve their own mistakes.

Had 2 vehicles in for bodywork - generally, the finish on the paintwork is excellent but had to go back several times to get minor little details corrected. These are part and parcel of any works, they eventually got rectified.Had work booked in for early November, so I made arrangements to turn up on the day at 8:30am sharp to drop my vehicle off. Only to be advised that due to problems with paint supply, there's a backlog of 30 vehicles and that I will have to rebook for after Christmas. Whilst I understand that problems can crop up, would it have been terribly inconvenient to call me and let me know the few days beforehand before I made the trip there?I will now be going elsewhere for works in future, which is a shame.
