EMR Nottingham

Rang today earlier on to ask for scrap prices and was told to check online which I did. Put all details in and price came up to £339 so went there and weighed it in. When I found out that I’m being paid £287 my car was already lifted so the damage has been done. I left fuming. Disgusting practice. I asked where is the difference from but nobody could give me an explanation. I have a few more cars to scrap and they are definitely not going to EMR.

The EMR Nottingham site is a well managed metal recycling facility, with a great team of staff. The yard itself it’s managed efficiently meaning wait times are very short during busier periods. The staff are friendly and always there to help you should you require it. Paul and Steve are always on the ground to ensure the yard runs smoothly. Vicky in the office was super helpful and Dave and Mikey are top class at what they do.

I am a regular customer to Emr Nottingham only to be welcomed by such a lovely receptionist on the Weybridge Vicky such a lovely lady makes me feel welcome every time we come in and speaks very professional with her costumers it’s a pleaser to visit this site

Please be aware of the practice of weight deductions that are imposed on your final payment at the ferrous weigh bridge. I was deducted 40kg for a cooker with glass door and a metal frame glass top table, I sold it as frag feed, (light iron.) So there should have been NO DEDUCTIONs. The weight bridge operative and banks man both failed to advise me of their intention with no communication and I only noticed this on further investigation later on. This is the second time it has happened to me. On the 1st occasion I discussed with the manager, and he ammended the account and paid up.The problem seems to originate from the banks man (chap who checks scrap)there is may be a training need / change of job. ( may be its personal problem). Are these deductions a normal practice in the scrap industry? On other occasions, I have been there, the long term staff are pleasant and welcoming.I would recommend the non ferrous section .it is very welcoming, the regular guy is very helpful, (dave?) and he can advise, educate the learned scrapper.

Visited emr Nottingham today and the prices used to be good but they are now the worst paying yard in Nottingham definetly will not be using again

Today a ' customer welcome hist ' ( Rolands) found my watch, and with honesty handed it in. This was at Nottingham Station and I am greatly appreciative.

Been to a good few scrap metal places. This is hands down the best I’ve been to. Staff are great, knowledgeable and proper good folk. Vicky on the bridge is awesome, always nice to see her happy face whenever I go. 100% recommend you bring your metals here.

PlumberIn the area on a job, dropped in to this yard in Nottingham. Staff on site are great, price’s are the best and the lovely helpful lady in the weighhbrige deserves a special shout out :)
