Donington Nurseries

Just visited, disappointed! I was told most of the stuff was bought in, shame I was expecting a real nursery. The person on the til wasn’t very friendly, perhaps because it was 10 mins to closing? When we arrived tho the place was dissected.

What a beautiful, traditional nursery this is! Donington Nurseries is family run and set in a gorgeous walled garden in rural surroundings, it's bursting with a wide variety of carefully tended plants, shrubs and tree specimens. Along with everything you could need to create or enhance your dream garden. From pots and composts to fencing, decorative gravel and sheds...We always find what we need.There's always a friendly welcome from the approachable and knowledgeable staff, they couldn't be more helpful. Wether its giving sound professional advice, helping with local community projects or delivering our amazing Christmas trees every year, they're always happy to help. We can't recommend them highly enough. Thank you guys!

Visited here for the first time today, and what a hidden gem!!Wish I lived closer, the range of plants is fantastic as is the pricing, I had to do a double take with the offers they have on perennials. As others have mentioned, the setting is lovely too, it is so peaceful walking around. The staff were friendly and offered help without being pushy, and when I got to the till they offered tips for planting and a box to stop my plants falling over in the car.Will definitely be back!

The best garden centre I've been to in a long time. I went for a specialist tree that I tracked down online and called them beforehand to check they were still in.It was and when I purchased it, I got a personal service of how to plant and what additional items I could get to help my tree be successful.I'd also say that the setting was so beautiful it took my breath away. I literally skipped in it made me so happy.If you're looking for a hidden gem, this one will make your heart sing!

Brilliant nursery, wish I lived nearer. The plants here are superb, mostly nurtured on site not shipped in. We first went here years ago when we wanted a specialist fence paint but the plants and the choice is even better now.The prices are very fair for this quality and they also stock a big range of the sundry items like rose food etc. Good pots at reasonable prices.Nurseries like this are hard to find. Worth the trip.

A really wonderful Nursery full of a good variety of healthy plants. Our garden has really been enhanced over the years with many beautiful purchases...shrubs, plants, trees, and even turf (really fresh!). We also get our Christmas Tree from here every year, we would never go anywhere else as they are the best!The prices are really reasonable, especially compared to the 'big' garden centres; I never fail to come away with something. The owners are really genuine, lovely people who really care about their plants. I feel so lucky to have such a great nursery on my doorstep :-)

Went to exchange our gas bottle. Asked the woman serving if it was possible to upgrade from 4.5kg to 7.5kg. The response was unbelievably aggressive. The tirade we received was about how this was no longer allowed and she reached behind her an unpinned a notice which she waved in our faces but didn't give us an opportunity to read. Then we were basically told that if we didn't like it then we could go elsewhere. We agreed to it as we needed the gas. I took it back to the car but my partner was going to have a look around and make some further purchases. However as she walked past the till she overheard this woman ranting to another customer about us and how she was sick of having to explain. Incidentally yet we're no signs up anywhere stating that we couldn't upgrade. We live in the village but we will NEVER return there again!

Been several times after work on their trail late nights. Really friendly helpful staffCame home after a 12 hour shift and found one of my roses had bloomed
