Alterations by Jackie Street

I went to Jackie for a bridesmaid dress alteration. She did a great job and was very reasonably priced.

I took my wedding dress to be altered initially it was far to big. Jackie pinned it. Returned for 2nd fitting but the hook and eye popped as Jackie had fitted it too tight. I assumed Jackie would let it out but when I returned for third fitting and hook and eye popped again, she simply doubled stitched another one on!!! Day of my wedding literally minutes before walking done the aisle it popped again!!!Jackie was very unprofessional and made various comments about my weight and my bridesmaid. Not what a bride needs to hear.Dress did not fit right!

Absolutely amazing work! Could not fault anything. Better than I could have imagined. Will definitely use Jackie's services for amymore alterations I need doing. Such a specific, detailed job.

Absolutely amazing lady. I phoned this morning after re trying my bridesmaid dress to find out it was not right. She said to bring it straight to her and she did it the same day! Jackie worked her magic! Thanks again Jackie!!

Thank you Jackie for your honest opinion, I brought 2 dresses in and in your opinion altering them would not improve them.

My wife ordered a wedding dress from Jackie Street. Early red flags were lack of communication and responses to messages. Lead time was supposed to be 6-10 weeks, actually received it 14/15 weeks after full payment was made. Due to concerns over lack of communication, requested images of progress, no response received initially so had to send three messages before getting a reply. When the dress finally arrived it was made incorrectly, examples being panels being inconsistent in length so one dragged on the floor whilst the other didn't reach the floor. Two side panels were also missing in comparison to the original design image and made too short. Small stain on the back and the bustier was made from net instead of satin again different from the original design.Took the dress to a local dress maker to try and have the issues resolved, but deemed beyond restoration.There was no way this eyesore could be worn to our wedding, due to the delays incurred and lack of communication we were left with a short time to find a replacement dress. The reason I am writing this review is that my wife did complain on the 21st July, and again received no response. Have sent dress back, and has been delivered, and unsurprisingly no acknowledgement from Jackie. A simple apology would have been something.Absolutely shocking customer service and a poor product, be very careful when considering using Jackie for her services for major events.
