NCP Derby St Peters Courtyard

Do not use this car park - extremely unsafe, with people hanging round waiting to break into cars.

DO NOT PARK HERE, DODGY MACHINES & ANPR ISSUED A PCN £100 FINE EVEN THOUGH I HAD PAID. GO PARK AT PARKSAFE INSTEAD. I AM STILL WAITING FOR NCP TO RESPOND EVEN THOUGH I HAVE SENT THE TICKETS TO THEM. ALSO PEOPLE WERE HANGING AROUND OUR CAR WHEN WE RETURNED. NCP SORT YOUR CAMERAS & MACHINES OUT & ANSWER MY APPEAL… WITH AN APOLOGY.

On arriving to park found that both pay machines were not working. No instructions given as to what to do in this situation. Parked there for 15 minutes as I had to drop off some documents to a client. Several days later received a parking fine of £100, which could reduced to £60 if I paid promptly. Decided to fight this charge and completed the NCP online form explaining what happened. Much to my surprise NCP decided that no further action would be taken regarding this matter. This car park has no barriers on entry/exit, instead they use cameras to monitor the car parks usage.

A cheap car park and very central to Derby town centre

It was once a great convenient location for short stay parking but has been ruined as the machines are constantly out of order. Even if you register for an account the app doesn't work properly anymore.
