I am appalled at the service provided. I was told many times on enquiry before covid that I could not have a check up appointment, it was emergency appointments only. The receptionist said everytime that they would contact me. I have left it waiting, thinking they must be so behind as a fall out if covid and they have just not got round to me yet. Until a friend of mine told me had been in recently for a check up. So on calling today I was told I was removed from the patient list as I had not re-registered?? Well I was not told to re-register at anytime. Apparently says the receptionist it is done by the nhs and not at the practice. Well I must of been on their system, they should have a record of people! So I am dumped, no word, nothing, for being patient.As for under pressure, we all are. Everyone has a heavier work load (referring to their voice mail) it is not an excuse. So hassle, ring, pester or you will be dumped like me.

Good communication by text and email. Very polite and engaging staff.My dentist was informative and caring.I felt I was in safe hands.All my visits to this dental practice have been very positive. Thank you.

I have been coming to this Dental Practice for almost 30 years and in the last 5 it has gone downhill. My son has had numerous appointments cancelled pre-covid, we were waiting for a replacement dentist from South Africa to arrive for months, which resulted in cancellations. Post-covid and my son had another appointment cancelled in July, re-sheduled to 26 October via email. Turned up only to be told it was cancelled and that I should have had a text to inform me. I hadn't received it. I was then informed that sometimes the reason was due to an extra space being inserted into the number by mistake (this obviously has happened before to others then). The system should ask for a confirmation yes or no response to ensure that they know if a customer has received the text or not, to prevent a wasted journey. Now re-scheduled to December, as the South African dentist has now left again. The service in this dental practice (for those who are under the wing of temporary dentists) is a joke. If you are under the other dentists in the practice you are probably alright, oh and if you pay your fees in the monthly private scheme you will be seen as a priority, NHS patients are the last to be seen if you just want a check up - expect a long wait! The receptionist told me they are being shouted at on a daily basis, yes probably by totally frustrated patients who need to be seen, think they will be seen and are then told they will not, after dozens of previously cancelled appointments. Maybe it is time to review your procedures mydentist.

I had treatment for broken front tooth and saw a different dentist to my regular dentist and she was amazing kind and gentle as I am so afraid of any treatment but I was thrilled with her I couldn’t of had anything better so greatful thank you your service was brilliant

I would like to say a big thank you to my Dentist in Helston, and especially Harriett and the team for their help and dedication in helping me to improve my teeth.I appreciate we are living in uncertain times, and the National Health is under pressure, but the team at Helston, and I am speaking of my experience have been very good.

A pathetic shambles. Have cancelled the last 4 appointments (non-covid related). On my last visit their new 'imported dentist' who I waited 6 months to see, couldn't even find what was wrong and I ended up in hospital. I've asked on multiple occasions to see the Hygenist to be dismissed out of hand. Unless I want to pay private of course, then you can see a dentist really quick. The staff are rude, ignorant, dismissive. and on a major power trip, obviously couldn't get jobs as Doctors receptionists so this was the next best thing. Do yourselves a favour and steer clear. I will be reporting this joke of a company to the Health Service Ombudsman as this practise is not fit for purpose.

Most people find going to the dentist an uncomfortable experience, now this can be true depending on what has to be done, but whatever it is, having faith in your dentist plus making things as smoothly as possible is all one can ask from a practice. All these are done by my practice & consequently I have no qualms about going there, plus my dentist Karen & her assistant couldn't have been more accomodating.
