My apartment building is fitted with two relatively new Cardiff Lift Company lifts and they are forever breaking down. Serious technical faults have left other tenants trapped in one of the lifts on several occasions - with no immediate fix. The last time it happened, the technician simply said not now" when asked whether the lift could be repaired

Absolutely lovely company, and who the Welsh local services should be using for people with lifts in their homes. When my brother’s lift broke recently late in the evening, with him in it!, the English company who installed it were no help and had no idea who we could contact for help. After calling the duty social worker and 999 and still waiting on a call back to decide who would be able to come and help him we called Cardiff Lift Company on call out of sheer desperation, and the on call engineer couldn’t have been nicer or more helpful. Once we had a call back to say that firefighters would attend the engineer offered assistance should they need it, and as it turned out we did as the firefighters were unsure of how to get the lift moving, and he was so helpful over the phone. This is something we did ask the installing company to help us with and they straight out refused, claiming that if they gave incorrect advice and any damage was done to the lift or my brother was harmed they would be liable. We were treated with such care and kindness by CLC and we really do appreciate their grace and help.

As a hotel general manager I have worked with many lift contractors over the last 7 years, however Cardiff lifts are head and shoulders above the rest.Easy to contact, great call out service (24/7) and great service from the ladies in the office to the engineers out on the road. Annual servicing is of the highest level, maintaining our lift(s), quoting for preventative maintenance works but the biggest difference vs other companies is their ability to react to lift breakdowns in a timely manner. Keep up the great work Lloyd and team, look forward to working with you for many years to come.

I got trapped in a lift maintained by the Cardiff Lift Company. Upon investigation, the lift suffered a huge malfunction within 24 of undergoing regular servicing. The emergency alarm system didn't function correctly and luckily I was able to phone the fire brigade to rescue me. Cardiff Lift company didn't even offer an apology. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.
