Coopers Carvery
We normally have a carvery here which is lovely but when we got there at 6.30 the carvery was closed. We were disappointed so we had steak and ale pie, chips, peas and gravy. When it came it was cold, they heated it up for us, it was nice. The manager was very helpful and polite. Toilets are up 6 stairs, disabled parking and entrance. Good for kids here, variety on menu, seating outside, comfortable atmosphere. Go early to get a great carvery.

I’ve been eating in coopers most Sundays for the last 17 years as I don’t eat veg so I enjoy the potato’s and roasted potatoes.However the portions of meat has declined yesterday I had to take meat off my plate to put on my child’s plate as he was given a very small slice not even a slice also I’m not sure what you have done to your carrots you used to sell nice sliced carriers yesterday it was lumps with black stuff over them wasn’t nice on the eye and the children then say no we do now try other places where you get twice the meat coopers give you

Came here a couple of months ago and changes were being made to the kitchen so thought I would treat my daughter to dinner as we have not eaten there for a while and I was sorry I did…. Service from the staff was amazing could not complain there but the food from the carvery was awful…stuffing and cauliflower was so hard my fork would not go through, beef so crispy where it had been under the heater for such a long period of time, Yorkshire pudding (the best part) was like trying to rip a tyre apart, I know the value for money is suppose to be good for us but I paid for something I left and did not eat apart from the mashed potatoes, to top it all of them a couple in front of us was asking for napkins as they could not locate any and there was none in the premises so got offered blue roll… my time to up and leave after this will not be returning in a hurry or at allClick

Regularly eat here, but today very disappointed. Veg: sprouts, carrots & peas were hard and cold. Roasties were not to usual standards.Meat was good, as always.This was a family celebration of six and we all had undesired leftovers.

We booked this last minute and was surprised the availability was there on a Sunday. It is very well managed considering the amount of people. We weren't waiting ages at the carvery as you would be at some. The food was all good quality and fresh. Staff were polite. The waiter was polite. Although the food carvery was nice and exceeded our expectations I didn't think much of the dessert. We ordered two fudge cakes, one served was alot bigger than the other. I didnt think it was good value for money. Although this hasn't ruined our experience and we would return.

Visited the coopers carvery today, carvery was delicious. Best thing about the place is Tasha. Amazing with all the customers, can tell she is happy to work in hospitality and that is very rare to find these days. Thank you Tasha for looking after us.

We were visiting the area and looked on Google for somewhere to have Sunday Lunch. The thought of a carvery appealed to us. I booked a table online, during our journey. We were greeted and seated very quickly. We noticed some people arriving without a booking who were having to wait, so booking in advance was worthwhile. We all had the carvery, which had a good selection of meats and massive Yorkshire puddings! There were several vegetables to chose from. Some larger bits of the cauliflower were too hard to eat, and the carrots were on the hard side, but the rest was fine. We were given a charger plate with our plates, even though the plates were cold. The staff were all helpful and we enjoyed our meal.

The deal advertised 30% of main dishes so opted for sirloin steaks. I had to admit the service from the staff was very attentive and informative.The meal itself was very enjoyable and I would definitely recommend the establishment and will certainly call again.

We came to Coopers as a little family reunion as we hadn't seen each over for years, and wow did they make it amazing! We arrived around 12:30 and had the host Mason give us the warmest welcome, he explained the procedure on how to order and to let him know if we needed anything else. We went up to the bar and had a lovely waitress server us and help us take our drinks to our tables. When we made our way up to the deck we knew we were going to enjoy the meal just from the smell. The veg was piping hot all the way through and the gravy was perfect! Meat portions was amazing and I still left some on my plate! My friend who is vegetarian tried the sausages as a supplement and she couldn't stop saying how much she loved them. Staff checked up on us often and always made sure we had a drink on the table. When it came to dessert I decided I could squeeze a bit more in as a treat and went for the Rocky Road Sunday and wow! the thing was bigger than I am! Will be returning soon and can't wait!
