The Laundry Retreat

We had a truly perfect two night stay at the Laundry Retreat! It was absolutely stunning in every way. Tom and Jenny really have thought of everything. The round houses are fully kitted out with everything you can possibly think of. My wife and I are actually quite particular(perfectionists) and we genuinely couldn’t find a single fault. Amazing!Personally I’m not much of horticulturist but even I can fully appreciate the scale of work that has gone into the stunningly beautiful gardens. Truly inspiring for any horticulturalists out there and a place of absolute tranquility.Unfortunately we didn’t get to meet Tom but we had the pleasure of meeting Jenny. She was extremely warm and positive and immediately made us feel at ease.We will definitely be staying at Laundry again!

I can’t recommend The Laundry Retreat highly enough! It’s such a special, secluded, magical place and provides real escapism and ultimate relaxation. Jenny & Tom have thought of everything and their care and attention to detail makes the experience incredibly special. From homemade cakes on arrival to marshmallows for the firepit - everything is set up to create a memorable stay. I can’t wait to return!

Lovely stay. Wonderful location and the Roundhouses are top quality. The little welcome touches like cake and jam are so nice - particularly enjoyable outside by the chimnea taking in the view. Would recommend asking Jenny and Tom to arrange a BBQ box and the breakfast hamper (there is a charge for this but well worth it). They are both so friendly and accommodating and being able to wander around their fantastic garden is a real bonus. We have rebooked!

We had a fabulous time staying at Tilia roundhouse.On arrival our welcome pack included homemade breadand cake. Both were delicious.The roundhouse was immaculate and has wonderful views.We found it very peaceful and relaxing.We enjoyed exploring the gardens - in particular the walled garden.

I had a superb stay in Ilex and its definition of a retreat certainly lived up to the name and more. Jenny and Tom very welcoming and the walled garden/area in general lovely. So much so that I have booked once again for me and partner.

We had a wonderful stay at the Roundhouse at the Laundry Retreat. When we arrived we were very impressed with the standard of the accommodation and the extremely high level of cleanliness. The Roundhouse was very tastefully decorated and had all the amenities we needed. There were some lovely personal touches from Tom and Jenny such as the beautiful Victoria sponge cake and some jam and produce made on site.The views were absolutely stunning and the covered decking area made a perfect spot for eating our breakfast in the mornings. There was also a covered area with a wood burner and plenty of logs. We spent our evenings here admiring the views and enjoying the peace and quiet of the wonderful countryside.We especially enjoyed exploring the beautiful gardens at the Laundry Retreat and the opportunity to meet Jenny.We had a very relaxing time and highly recommend the Laundry Retreat to anyone who appreciates beautiful views and a chance to get away from it all.We look forward to visiting again soon.

Absolutely gorgeous place, really enjoyed our stay here for my boyfriend's birthday. It was a great break from the city. The roundhouse is everything you could want/need and more. The welcome touches were fab, Jenny's viccy sponge was to die for, my boyfriend isn't a big cake fan but I had to fight him off my slice!Waking up to the view out the windows each morning we were there was fantastic even on the rainy days. Also being able to go out and stargaze infront of the log burner just wow. A really great few days away. Definitely definitely recommend and will definitely be back!Oh and the gardens are beautiful! We stumbled upon the fig and we think kiwi tree! Neither of us knew they could be grown here what a discovery!

A beautiful retreat, just what I needed. My stay in the roundhouse was perfect, warm, comfortable and peaceful. Although its billed as a romantic retreat, I stayed for a weekend for the Modern Scribe calligraphy class and had the roundhouse to myself. Couldn't have asked for more, the views are spectacular. Jenny and Tom were perfect hosts - definitely recommend if you need to get away from it all. I will be back! Thank you :)

The Laundry Retreat deserves a 10 star rating it really is just a perfect place to stay! You get welcome food items that are locally sourced or homemade which are yummy, it is a beautiful peaceful setting and the owners Jenny and Tom have thought of everything to make your stay truly special. There are some excellent local restaurants and everyone made us welcome wherever we went. We are definitely returning and will recommend to all our friends.

Absolutely fabulous escape in North Wales. It totally exceeded our expectations. Amazing views and so peaceful. The spec was very high , spotlessly clean with everything you could need provided, including additional personal touches. I would highly recommend ,we stayed in both lodges over 5 nights , differing slightly we would not hesitate to stay in either again. Look forward to returning in the future.
