Popped in for a pair of slippers and entered another world. I thought service like this was lost forever. The two gentlemen serving were friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. I was served by Lee who firstly offered me a drink then measured both my feet (I was only buying slippers remember) and made sure they fitted correctly. Such a lovely shop. I've always been a fan of Loake shoes and I would recommend this shop to anyone who wants to spoil themselves on a beautiful pair of shoes (or slippers) and a great service. I look forward to visiting again.

I recently visited the Loake store in Chester for a new pair of Chelsea boots.The experience was first class from the lovely lay out of the store and conversation with the sales team.On arrival I was offered a drink (I had a lovely coffee) and then a discussion on what I was looking for, leather quality, sizes of feet taken and then boots tried on with guidance on how as new boots should feel. Lee took me through the entire process and was excellent and inciteful.Thanks for the help and I will certainly return!

I visited the Loake shop in Chester to buy a new pair of shoes for my brother’s wedding on the back of a recommendation from Patrick at Crichton Bespoke. I was delighted with the service I received and the shoes I bought with Paul taking real care and time to support me with my choice.The shoes were perfect, but whilst waiting for the bride, I noticed a stitch had come away. It didn’t spoil the day but the following one I called back, a little grumpy, with the shoes to explain. Paul wasn’t in that day but one of his colleagues empathized and assured me that he would call me as soon as he was back in.He did, and without recourse, told me he’d ordered a new pair and would let me know when they arrived. Despite it not really being his fault, but a product quality issue, he was genuinely apologetic. The shoes arrived a couple of days later and I called in again to collect.It got me thinking, if I’d bought online, would I have had this experience? An local expert help me with my choice? A problem quickly and easily resolved? The ability to support a small business in my home City? No, I wouldn’t, but I do know where I’m buying my next pair of shoes from! See you soon Paul.

Rarely have I experienced such excellent customer service. Alec was helpful and very knowledgeable about my shoes which after 20 years needed minor attention.Loake shoes may be a more expensive outlay initially but they are an investment and will last many years.I recommend the store wholeheartedly.
