The museum facade is a classic Victorian building. We entered from Exhibition Road on a showery day. The courtyard was extremely slippery - a huge negative. It has extensive collections that are free to visit- a huge positive. The size of the museum is so enormous I suggest picking out one or two areas of emphasis. As a result of watching the Netflix series “Blown Away” we are huge fans of contemporary blown glass. The museum has some beautiful pieces in Room 231 on the third floor, which you can see in the photos, Navigating the museum is an art. There is an interesting display of famous ancient monuments which have been cast and a good display of Buddhist art. There is a ton of other stuff to see. In summary a very eclectic museum with very old fashioned displays.

I come back to the V&A again and again because of its stellar special exhibits and incredible permanent collections. On this trip I was really knocked out by the Gabrielle Chanel and Diva shows, both really thoughtfully curated. The museum houses fine art but where it really stands out is in its celebration of design and performance. I can spend whole days in the silver and jewelry galleries, the ceramics gallery is astounding in its expansiveness. The cafe is nice and the gift shop always has lots of wonderful things. My top tip is to join as a member. It gets you free access to all the special exhibits with no standing in long lines as well as access to the wonderful members only dining room and 10% off purchases in the gift shops. You also get a gorgeous quarterly magazine which lets you keep up with what's on and what's upcoming.

Love V&A. We were time pressed so we were rushing through. Need to allot a whole day to enjoy this place. The indoor outdoor spaces were very well thought out. Love the mix of ancient and modern. And the fact that most of the pieces were not cased. Also loved the cafeteria. The rooms were magnificent. The food and food choices were very good for the cafeteria style restaurant.

Hands down the most amazing collection of art and design I have seen. It's worth every second of the four hours spent there, and I can't wait to go back!Take a look at the exhibit map before you start, focus on a few areas, and plan for more than one trip! Also, grab lunch or tea in the cafe or out in the garden cafe. The food was delicious too!

The V&A is by far my favourite London museum. It has such a unique collection ranging from art, tapestries, jewellery, clothing and so much more. The building alone is worth the visit, with the beautiful courtyard being a great place to gather during summer.I’ve been to a few special exhibitions and they have all been fantastic. Some more popular ones do sell out quickly, but if you’re really desperate you can usually buy a membership, which gives you 2:complimentary entries to any exhibition for a year.Be warned it is a huge museum, it took me several visits over the years to inspect every corner. If you’re looking for some quiet time I found the top floors tend to be emptier.

The museum has an impressive collection of sculptures from around the world. There's a decent selection of work by Rodin. There's also work by other British artists. I also liked sculptures from Asia with the Buddhism theme. There's also an exhibition on the 2nd floor on the designs of everyday life objects, which is quite up-to-date and worth a look.I didn't have time to visit the entire museum. Since the entry is free, I'll go back in the future.

This museum is simply amazing! Free to the public -great exhibits. More of an “adult” museum since it is not geared toward children & they would probably be bored. My husband and I loved it -the place is so large with many smaller rooms that is is like a maze. We started on the 3rd floor (took the Lyft) and worked our way down.

Fabulous museum of arts and crafts, with so many wonderful exhibits, I don't think you could see everything properly if you visited every day for a year. My favourite galleries were the iron work and the modern glass. It is frankly awesome that admission is free.A couple of minor niggles; the galleries are a bit of a maze, so it is not easy finding your way around, secondly the cafe is about as expensive as anywhere I have ever eaten - £5.90 for a scone, anyone?!

Starting out on the new Elizabeth line, we whipped across East to West London. Accessing the museum was easy a few feet from the South Kensington tube.As you go in, donations are requested, and maps are offered. The exhibitions are well laid out, and the museum map offers a route around, and there are hours of exhibits to pique your interest. The cafe is very expensive even for London prices £2.55 for a small water is unacceptable. But the tea room is a wonderful room, worth a look. There are lectures and guides available. The museum offers a £5 audio guide, so beware expensive fake guides!! We spotted a few.The trip was wonderful and we will return with a better agenda and more time. Maybe to take a sketch as well, which we saw a lot of artists doing there.

This museum is right next to the National History Museum so plan accordingly. This is a beautiful museum featuring many displays from Asian derived to other European items. All items are displayed wells and with appropriate decorative style befitting the time period. Overall, this is a very well stocked museum with many interesting items. Good experience.
