Good old fashioned pub atmosphere. Former social club now a pub. No beers on pump but plenty of choice otherwise. Locals and staff give a friendly happy go lucky atmosphere. Good pool table too. Excellent.

This place is crying out for refurbishment, it has a large bar area with a great stage. With it's location opposite the William Adams this should and could be an amazing venue with great live music

What a superb venue for an 80s night Video disco. Took me back to my childhood. Thoroughly recommend it to anyone..Again what a great night great crowd.

Inexpensive drinks, friendly faces and an English pool table at 50p a game. What's not to like? Some drinks you'd expect to find aren't available, but they'll almost certainly have an alternative that will satisfy. Been a few times and I enjoy going every time. Functions can be held here too, with a sizeable room with s stage available!

Smoking area allows smoke to come into non smoking areas even when door is shut in-between. Tables seemed sticky and I didn't feel that the place was particularly clean due this. Decorating needs much attention especially at the main entrance and Hallway. Only been once and wouldn't want go there again. Generally felt seedy, old, dirty and smokey.

Just had a wake here for a loved one, very nice place, the staff and friendly and will have a conversation with you,The drinks was a very good price and a lot of different drinks & types of drink (lots if gins!)The venue is rather large and can hold lots of people with a smoking area outside the back of the pub (with seating available too)I haven't been to this pub when not hosting a function but after speaking to staff & seeing signs they have live music every weekend & and anyone is welcome to enter (no longer membership only)
