Our lovely Pepper came from the Poultry Centre a few weeks ago. We couldn't be happier, she's integrated into our existing flock really well. The staff where excellent and came across as more than just sales staff, they truly care about all the Chicken they have and sell.

We went to have a look around after moving to the area. 6 months later we have over 30 chickens and ducks. Staff are brilliant and friendly.

Great variety of chickens and ducks, staff will advise you which bird is the best for you and what size coup to get if you let them know how big your area is.

Animals seem well looked after, a lovely lady spent the time talking to me and answering my questions about the ducks.Sadly I didn't get her name but 10 out of 10 for customer service. Will be back to purchase some ducks once my garden is finished.

Definitely better since a bit of money has been spent upgrading. Poultry overpriced though in my opinion

I visited with my partner on Friday to get my first ever chickens.I have to say Ben is basically the chicken whisperer. You can tell he really loves his job and cares for the chickens. He is a fountain of knowledge and I never felt rushed or stupid asking my questions. He is a total asset to the the business. Amy also helped pick out some essentials for my new additions and was also very helpful.I ended up taking an Araucana, Brahma and a Polish. The chickens are a little on the pricey side when you compare to other places. That being said the two times I visited the birds were happy and clean and very relaxed/tame.I am on day 2.5 on owning my ladies and our polish seems to have a bit of a cold. She keeps sneezing and is a bit lethargic. Hoping this will pass!EDIT: all chickens had a vitamin supplement when I got them home. I tried VetRX to try and help my polish, I got in touch with TPC and then I tried the respire-a-hen as advised by them. None of it has worked and my polish has now spread it to my other 2 birds. As its now affecting the whole flock and my polish is really struggling to breath I had to take her vet and they are all now on antibiotics. As they have a respiratory infection.I still stand by my original comments. The place and people are nice. But i wish I knew what I know now...I wouldn't have brought her being in a pen with other poorly chickens. In fact if poorly, or with poorly chickens I don't think they should be sold for this reason.Just sad that my first step into chicken keeping has not been as enjoyable as I was hoping due to a poorly chicken turning into 3!A very expensive mistake.EDIT EDIT:Sadly after x3 rounds of antibiotics and various herbal treatments my Brahma who caught the infection from our polish has now got to the stage where we are going to sadly have to put her to sleep. We have spent over £500 on trying to treat this infection. Sadly it’s all been a bit of a traumatic experience not only for us as first time chicken keepers but also for the chickens who have all bonded beautifully.
