A really amazing opticians and 5 star service. Georgia is such a knowledgeable optometrist and they have such a beautiful range of bespoke frames to choose from. Lesley the dispensing optician really knows her stuff when it comes to style and all the current trends and what actually suits your face shape. She picked me out a pair of beautiful frames I would never have chosen for myself. I left a very happy customer! Would highly recommend

And her team are great at helping with choosing frames and giving you the time and space to make a decision. I first visited Rae & Rae because I was looking for an interesting pair of glasses, and when I walked past their shopfront after closing hours, I realised that they easily had the quirkiest and most memorable pairs I'd seen in any York opticians' window. But although I was drawn in by the aesthetics, I was won over by the service: the attention to detail, the friendliness, the dedication to getting everything right. I don't find my check-ups to be intimidating or scary at all, and I've never felt pressured into buying anything I didn't want. I like how Georgia explains everything that's going on, and how patient and kind she was when I recently got contact lenses for the first time. I was so impressed with them scheduling multiple appointments to ensure I'd got the hang of it instead of leaving me to figure it out on my own, and I felt reassured that I could contact them at any time if things went wrong. When I told my mum about the experience, she said You don't get service like that from most opticians" and she's absolutely right. I live on the other side of town but still come here because the service is second to none!"

Rae and Rae are fantastic! They go to so much trouble to help their patients - even ringing back to give a time when they can ring back! They are professional but friendly and go that extra mile to provide a service that is second to none. I recommend them wholeheartedly.

What a great find this is!Having gone to a high street opticians and often being disappointed, Rae & Rae Opticians popped up on my Instagram page. I booked an appointment and was not let down. I thought I’d be paying so much more for an independent service, but I have paid exactly the same as the high street and had a 100% customer service from the minute I walked through the door.
