I have been visiting The Big Chap since June 2022, it always has an amazing atmosphere and karaoke every Saturday night. Its a lovely place to meet people and enjoy there company.The bar staff and landlady are lovely, always welcoming and Friendly. Great to talk with and have a conversation.They always have events on and always a good place to go for a quiet drink.Had a live singer on last time we visited and she was amazing, absolutely funny and awesome. Went in last night for a couple took a table as instructed completed track and trace and ordered 2 drinks Doreen excellent service. However last orders bell rang about 9 ish regulars got served and at one table 2 men had 4 pints each doreen running round taking orders and payment and also delivering drinks. When we got the attention of Doreen and asked for one more at 9.20 we were told couldn't serve anymore. Note to pub we do now we are in uncertain times and rules change constantly but all customers deserve same service not just your regulars. Won't be coming back in a hurry

Kirsten keeps a great pub. Atmosphere great, covid 19 aware & procedures in place. Some products are expensive considering other venues in Denton. Over £4 for a pint of Strongbow is ridiculous.

We had a ladies trebles tournament at the pub on Thursday 17th March. There must have been about 50 women along with usual customers. So possibly 60/70 customers and 1 person on the bar. The poor barmaid was run ragged with people having to wait over 30min to be served. The landlady came down, and went straight back upstairs without helping her. Absolutely disgusting from an employer. Never have a function or a large gathering here !

A very nice pub definitely a place to go to for a good drink and a chat. Can be very annoying ordering a drink as the service can be slow at times. Does have massive screens for sport so definitely worth going for football and never had a bad experience with the punters

Went in for Coronation Day, DJ and kids event, football on several TV's, Had a few Strongbows.They sell Pasties if you want something to eat. Usually show Horse Racing too as is next door to a local bookies.Has outside drinking area front and back and has large carpark.
