Went to have a check for my 2014 E300 hybrid as there were issues with hybrid functions (no Start/Stop or 'sailing' mode), high fuel consumption and amber 'check engine' on instrument cluster.I specifically asked if they can deal with hybrids and I was told YES, proved that after an hour and a half of waiting they couldn't find the issue.Got charged £50 for nothing!!Spent 2 hours over the internet forums trying to find the issue myself and it proved that the main battery wasn't holding enough charge (on cold weather) and it needed replacement. Replaced the battery myself for a new one (£200) and the hybrid functions are back to normal.They might be good for mechanical issues but I would personally avoid for other issues

As a new Merc owner, I wasn't sure what garage to use to check an engine management fault, other than the main dealer - say no more.I called and spoke with Phil who was very friendly and he asked me to bring the car round the next day. Withing 10 minutes he identified the fault, ordered the part and the car was fixed a couple of days later. Could not be happier with the 5-star service I received from Phil and Dan – I highly recommend this garage.

As any Mercedes owner will appreciate, it's hard to find mechanical experts. Staithes was recommended to me and I am so glad they were. I called the garage and explained I had an engine light on (which another garage could not diagnose the reason for correctly). The car had lost acceleration. The owner asked me to bring it in and despite his set-up being massively busy, he did a diagnostic check on my car and had it fixed and ready to go in little over an hour. To say I'm impressed is an absolute under-statement. This garage is the epitome of professionalism, expertise and genuine customer service. Thank you so much!

Amazing! Been experiencing problems with my mercedes getting quotes to replace turbo and numerous other expensive fixes. One short visit to this garage solved the problem. Programming issue.The only place I would recommend for anything mercedes related. Highly recommended

I rang the garage yesterday and explained the problem with my car and he told me to bring it in the next morning and he would do a diagnostic on it. I took my Mercedes W205 in for a diagnostic as it had an engine management light on and managed to cure the fault.I would highly recommend this garage, fraction of the price of Mercedes main dealer, very professional and I will definitely use them again.

The dreaded warning light to drive at low speed and suspension gone on a 68 plate E class Mercedes Estate. The weekend before xmas!! I hadnt used Staithes before as it was a first issue on a newish car with low miles. Dan put the diagnostics on and saw the suspension fault in 5 mins, with a part needed, I was asked if I was happy to leave the car with them for a while. In the taxi home it 'a Mercedes' and he said he used Staithes and they were great which was a good sign.. . My car was fixed the same day within 5 hours of me calling in with the garage already full of Mercedes cars and closing for Xmas in a couple of days.. . This was only possible due to Phil driving to Carlisle to collect a part as there weren't any available locally. Great Customer Service and my car repaired perfectly. The main dealer wanted £200 just to look at my car on diagnostics, delighted I didnt ....Staithes have a new customer ...

Called on the phone yesterday and advised to call back laterWent in person today and waited patiently then asked politely if I could ask a question- rude response. was hoping to get a repair done on my bmw . No need to be unpleasant to customers

Used Phil for years whenever I've had a Merc. Wouldn't go anywhere else
