Freemans Arms
Two stars for the lovely staff.Four of five meals ordered not edible at all. Two meals sent back, came out second time even worse. So bad I don’t even know what to say. A combo of raw veg and burnt to a crisp pigs in blanket that they have the cheek of charging extra for. Gravy came out looking like jelly on a plate. Hunter’s chicken rock hard you could break a tooth, chips looked like they’d been cooked seven time and carrots you could play hockey with so hard. Aside from the poor quality, absolutely shocking presentation too. No pride at all. Good just thrown on the plate. A very, very poor day for the kitchen staff. Nothing went well. Grateful for a refund and the kindness of the lovely serving staff.

Food was good, wait staff were lovely. Our server, Cath or Caz or something was great. She was super friendly, personable and generally on the ball. The kids were delighted when she spoke to them like little adults and they got to order for themselves. Great family atmosphere. We will be coming back.

I swung by Freemans Arms pub after an intense swimming session, feeling completely drained and famished. Eager to refuel my body, I ordered a selection of drinks and some much-needed sustenance.I must commend the pub for promptly serving the beer. However, I couldn't help but notice that my Guiness lacked the traditional shamrock embellishment. Now, onto the main event—the food. I decided to indulge in the mushroom and ale pie, accompanied by broccoli tender stems and a generous helping of gravy. Let me tell you, dear reader, it was a triumph! The pie boasted impeccable cooking precision and tantalizing flavors, making the extended waiting time worthwhile. As a gym enthusiast, I prioritize quality and taste, and this dish certainly delivered on both fronts. For my little one, I opted for a pasta dish and a kid's meal. The fries were a delightful surprise—fresh and crispy, hitting the spot for my discerning palate. However, as a true aficionado of British cuisine, I had envisioned chunky chips that exude that irresistible rustic charm.Nevertheless, the shining star of the meal was undoubtedly the slaw. Its mouthwatering blend of ingredients left me longing for a larger portion! On the other hand, the onion rings were somewhat lackluster, lacking the zesty seasoning I craved for that extra punch. All in all, my experience at Freemans Arms pub can be categorized as satisfactory. The delicious food, although with some room for improvement, managed to satiate my health-conscious desires.

I had the pleasure of being served by Sophie at The Freemans Arms, and I must say, her customer service skills are top-notch! Sophie was incredibly friendly and attentive throughout our visit. Sophie recommendations were spot on. Her warm and welcoming demeanor made our evening at the pub truly enjoyable. Sophie's excellent service added to the overall fantastic experience at The Freemans Arms. We'll definitely be returning. She would make a great Manager.

This place is super disappointing! Thought it might be nice from the refurbishment but so disappointed. Waited 45 minutes for food, only 3 other tables in the place. This place strongly needs a good leader to take control and bring up the standards. Menus were dirty and sticky, forks were dirty between the tines. The floor needed a good hoover and a general clean. This place has the potential to be great but needs so tlc and better management to bring the standards up. Food was OK but menu is good. Definitely has the potential to be better.

Visited the Freeman Arms with my family for a late Sunday lunch, the staff couldn’t have more more accommodating and we had a lovely meal. Enjoyed it so much that I came back the following Sunday for the poker.Lovely pub with old fashioned values and atmosphere, with modern levels of service. Thanks Guys :)
