Fairfield Surgery

Can not fault the doctors, nurses or MW would give them 5 stars but the attitude of the receptionists, sick of it, it seems like every job is too much for them, no people skills. Phone them they give you attitude and god help if you knock the side door to speak with them! Sort it out no need for it.

In light of how difficult people say it is to see a GP, I am grateful that Fairfield still use eConsult alongside making appointments on the phone. Today I was able to put my eConsult in at 8am & received a call from them by 9am offering a consultation with a practice nurse. I popped out of work & by 10.10am I was armed with a prescription. I really can’t fault them at all.

The nursing staff are great and genuinely willing to help as I believe is Dr Kantrum. Yet I have had enough and moved to a surgery outside of my area as I can no longer stomach the hostility, rudeness and incompetence of the remainder of the practice staff who couldn't spell CAT if you spotted them two letters or pour water out of a boot with instructions written upon the heel. You would do better seeing a Vet. The ratio of mistakes in regard of repeat medication is staggering, the aggression towards anyone trying to resolve a medication issue caused by the surgery is something to be experienced and the way the staff interact with the people they are supposed to help is inconceivable, frankly baffling. I wouldn't be surprised to learn this surgery is closed following investigation by the health board.

Today I had a consultation with Dr Owen it was a very positive experience. I left feeling encouraged having received a first class service from a Dr who showed empathy and understanding. A quality not always shown as you are so often just rushed out of the door.Although I must add previous appointments with the nurses have also been very good. The receptionist’s have also been user friendly!

I've read some reviews & honestly most of the staff are lovely.Drs are amazing & the nurses.I've been there when some patients have no patience though & honestly there are some really rude people around.No need at all, these people have lives & they're trying to help.I've been here since I was born & llanelli is lucky to have Drs Goni, Duarte, owen & Gadkil.Lovely doctors, lovely nurses & staff.These bad reviews are obviously from people with no manners or etiquette.

I'd give no stars if I could. Absolutely shocking GP. You don't get to see a doctor and more often than not, not even a nurse. They cannot be bothered, no duty of care. I know the NHS is under pressure but thus is just shoddy, no wonder you can't get any space at any other llanelli practise.Disgusted and enraged to say the least.

Well for the 2nd time, called the surgery at 12 pm as I was told tooWhen I called( 6th in line) spoken to the receptionist who said all the call backs and appts have gone and ring 111! Commutity care at its best

Awful! A letter personally delivered a week ago has not been actioned by the practice manager as she was on leave. So….medical care must stop for that week?!The receptionist was very dismissive and when challenged about how rude I felt she was being she hung up on me!Just awful

An outstanding patient service received from them. The doctors, the nurses and admin staff have been very helpful, professional, dedicated, diligent, proactive, respectful and reliable telephoning them for their assistance. They are under a lot of pressure, its one of the busiest doctor surgeries in town and the Covid situation has made things complicated stressfully under the circumstanes. I give them all credit for their resilence during this unprecendented times. Thank you Fairfield Surgery.
