First visit to Golden Wok on a recommend from a friend. Tasty meal resulted.Set meal takeaway for £13.50 was chosen - Sweet and Sour Chicken, Special Fried Rice, and Chicken Chow Mein.Whole meal tasted delicious and simply good grub! Nothing pretentious - just plenty of good tasty food.Will visit again.

U would be better off going to tesco and getting a ready meal how horrible I know we are in a cost of living crisis no excuse I tried to ring but thay must of made it gone home I live round the corner opened it up and boxed it straight back up went back thay had gone so says I thought thay would be at least cleaning the kitchen but no sign

Me and my wife ordered takeaway last night, quick delivery to quick if I’m honest. We tuck in and the chips we brought were rock hard and rice and crispy beef and Cantonese was all over cooked! Threw it away it was that bad, previously we haven’t had a bad one from here. I couldn’t call to complain as they were closed but called today and they said they could help me sorry! Not great service at all not happy, will be changing takeaways.

I recently moved to Quedgeley and made the mistake of ordering a meal from here....never again...The sweet and sour chicken was tough with thick batter...not fresh.The soft fried noodles were not much good either.My bill was over £22 and not value for money.I will stick to the one in Tuffley......they deliver.

Food turned up cold and I thought they were children’s portions to start with. The salt and pepper starter box? On paper it looks good value. It’s not unless you like chips!!! Won’t be using again

Seem to be friendly staff just taken over from the previous establishment there. Recipes seem different and the prices are high but it’s serving a local need and the food seemed to be of a decent quality and served quickly.No card / contactless payment though so it’s not convenient. Their price structure will leave you with a fist full of metal in change.4 stars if they ever go contactless.

We had ordered a Chinese from here. We waited a long time for this and when it finally came he threw it at us and gave us all of the wrong food. The restaurant is closed after 10:30 so we couldn’t get hold of anyone. We finally did and said we had to wait 24hrs after we submitted a request. No apology, no replacement of food or refund and we’re absolutely starving. Please do not order from here, if I could give 0 stars I would.

The special chow mein, and pork and mushroom both just tasted of really salty gravy. The salt and pepper chicken didn't really have much taste, and the texture was like it had been cooked and reheated.Really disappointed, couldn't finish as it was just so salty.

I ordered a special chow mein and chicken curry from the Golden wok last night and the food so bad we couldn’t eat it. Completely tasteless and the chicken was slimy.There was hardly any meat in the chow mein and what meat was in it was tough and chewy. The two dishes didn’t taste any different, just totally bland. I phoned up and complained and they delivered the same dishes again and took the food back (although no apology was given) The food didn’t taste any different and we just threw it away. What a complete waste of £15!I don’t know if they’ve been taken over but the food here used to be great.I will never order from this takeaway again!
