Winckley Stays

Loved my stay at Winckley Stays, had an upgrade to the Bouquet room, which was appreciated. Check in/out simple with clear instructions. Location fantastic. When staying in Preston again this will be my first choice.

Amazing place to stay with hassle free checking in which was the easiest I’ve ever found! Room was very very clean and also smelt really nice upon arrival. Plenty of tea and coffee offered in the room too as well as cups etc. TV was good, great picture and good sound.They gave us a free upgrade as we originally planned to stay in the Rose room and who doesn’t love a free upgrade?Only downside (which I’m not going to penalise for) was the fire alarm went off three times, no fault of their own as I assume it was another guest setting them off.

No hot water for a bath, informed staff of black hairs in bathtub, and loose kitchen tap. Next day, someone had fixed the water issue, put new bin bag in, but didn’t wash the hairs in the bath !! If you get the Den, turn it down, the room was really warm, and if you use the fan, you can’t sleep because of the noise !!

We stayed for one night on a Saturday. Check in easy and stress free. Great location to the town centre, everything within walking distance, with a close car park (£10 for 24 hrs)We stayed in ‘The Study’ very clean and tidy, nice sized bathroom.Bed was nice and comfy. The room overall is quite small and very warm, but we just opened the windows. The only thing I would say is a bit of a pain is there is no full length mirror, and not much room at the small bedroom mirror when getting ready. There is also only plug sockets on one side of the bed.Overall we would definitely stay again, we had a lovely stay!

Stayed in the Bond room. Very small. Toilet seat falling off on arrival but told rooms are thoroughly checked on arrival. Fire door wedged open with a bin. Had to walk through a kitchen area to get to room felt like you were intruding.

The thermostatic shower wasn't working properly as it wouldnt go cool. The floor was dirty throughout. Missing tile grout on tiled floors made the place look shabby. There is a restaraunt underneath and there is some sort of Air con unit in a cupboard in the living room for it that loudly humms about every 20 seconds and is audible from the bedroom making it very difficult to sleep if you are (like myself) a light sleeper. Not sure how well the cups et are washed as there was one in our cupboard that clearly hadnt been. The management although trying to be polite suggested that this was our fault and if I had rang them at 2/3am then they would have moved us to another room even though we were leaving at 9am it hardly seemed worth it. Not a brilliant response considering the quality of the room. Not a 5 star hotel as it comes up on google

25 nervous minutes to check as I hadn't received the text message. Eventually got through on the phone, where they informed me they hadn't sent the text as they didn't have my phone number; although they had my email, which they then used. Room OK but small, not 5*. TV didn't work as aerial lead broken. Parking quite a distance away plus difficult to park locally for offloading cases. WiFi didn't work. Nice location close to the park.

Nice and cozy rooms , contactless check-in, very clean and tidy . Great location too.Highly recommend it

I stayed here for a few days for a work trip. The hotel is great - straightfoward check-in, comfortable room and it felt safe. It's also centrally located in Preston which is very convenient. I managed to leave a few personal belongings behind in my room when I left and the team were so kind and helpful in packaging up the items to be collected by a courier to be returned to me - 10/10 service! Thank you!

I often travel the country and world for both business and pleasure. My partner and I booked in for Winckley Stays (Preston) and we were incredibly pleased.Classy, modern and elegant rooms with a nice welcoming pack.Winckley stays will be where I book when looking for accommodation in Preston going forward - could not recommend enough!
