As Audenshaw is pretty out of my way, I called AMC ahead of time to ask about a car I was interested in purchasing. I ask if there's any damage to the vehicle, aside from a small dent visible on the advert, and get told nope, that's it. So you can imagine my surprise when I turn up and the car is one window short of a complete set. We'll chalk that up as Lie #1. Apparently they had managed to lock the keys in the car (a feature I turned off as soon as I bought the car), but despite the fact that they had a spare key and are supposed to be a professional car dealership, I don't think that this was a lie - just incompetence. Lie #2 was telling me that they had the window.Initially, I'm told that the window was delivered to a colleague's house by mistake, but as he lives in Rochdale I should be able to go pick it up once I've bought the car. Later, I'm told that he's not at home, but he'll bring it to work with him if I come back the next day. But when the next day rolls around, I get a phone call from this colleague who now apparently lives just outside of London. He was going to come in to work, honest, but his wife has gone into labour so he's not going to make it. He will however be able to post it to me, so I guess there's a post office next to the hospital. Begrudgingly, I agree, and ask them to provide a tracking number. The next day I call Adam, the owner, as I didn't get that tracking number, and get told that they don't do those anymore, but he just called the Royal Mail to ask about it. This seems like a massive breach of confidentiality, but I give it a go. Turns out, they don't give out that information without a tracking number, as it would be a massive breach of confidentiality.Anyway, a few days later the window arrives via Parcelforce, sent directly from an eBay seller. I have the nerve to ask about installation costs, and Adam tells me that if I can find somewhere to do it for about 20 quid" then he'll consider it. This seems low

Adam provided top class customer service! After a problem caused on my side he was understanding and really helped me out. The prices are great and the staff are really friendly, I'd definitely return in the future. Thanks again.

Dealt with Adam today. Though we didn't end up buying from Audenshaw Motors today (and that's not saying we won't), we couldn't fault the service we were given by the guys there. Friendly and down to earth
