The staff at Birmingham Children's Trust care so much about the children, families and young people they work with. They go far and beyond to help make a difference for each person they work with, they are friendly, understanding and offer fantastic support especially when life gets tough.

Birmingham children’s trust have failed my family on multiple occasions and they have ripped our family apart through their neglect! We have had to make multiple complaints and even had to contact our local MP in regards to their malpractice. We have been ignored by allocated workers and management, been subject to organisational abuse, bias and discrimination, they have failed to provide appropriate care and support for my family and have directly caused the situation to escalate. We have had 4 different workers in the space of 6 months and only one of them was actually willing to listen and offer appropriate support, he was taken away from our case, against our wishes and replaced with a worker who has met with us once and then left the service without informing us, we currently have no allocated worker and have had no contact from the trust about how to proceed, despite multiple attempts by us to attain information. They did not listen to the school, the police, healthcare professionals or ourselves and focused on placing blame on us as parents instead of supporting us with the real issues. The service is a disgrace and is riddled with systemic failures which need to be addressed immediately, before they harm any more families! With my experience of the trust, I can fully understand how they have been responsible for the deaths of so many children under their care and I strongly believe that there will be more unless something is done to drastically improve the service!

A very unprofessional environment, a lot of toxicity. I worked for East. The manager seemed approachable however I faced many issues in this workplace and my manager assured me she would help the situation. 4 months later the problems have gotten worse. Management favouring permanent workers over agency workers. A lot of micro management I would recommend not working here. Your safety is compromised and you cannot trust your colleagues. A particular colleague has attempted to use another colleagues pictures to make social media profiles of them. Management were made aware but they did nothing to rectify this. Poor practice in this workplace.

I love all of the team at The Birmingham Children's Trust. They are so passionate about the work that they do and the children's lives that they touch. We must be thankful that BCT is a trusted and loyal organisation whereby the children are dependent on the services that they provide.

Please all log a complaint to the ombudsman service and contact the Children's Commissioner, Ofsted and the Prime Minister. A shame you don't have negative stars. The Trust is a disgrace. They are absolutely unprofessional and act against families. They don't listen and there's no transparency at all. They just don't want to know. They damage family relationships. This is a very serious matter.

After seeing all the negative reviews about this practice I am not at all surprised! They choose to victim blame instead of supporting families and you can’t win with them. You report something they turn around and say ‘oh you want to report this and this’ as though your doing something wrong, on the other hand if you didn’t report they’d pin the blame on you and you’d lose your children so you really can’t win with them. They’re happy to give you advice but aren’t willing to meet you halfway during the process. They’re supposed to help children and families yet provide you with zero support, and when they mess up on their end they try to blame you instead. No wonder so much children are failed by the system, not surprised seeing that the system is a joke and instead of supporting families and victims they choose to side with the perpetrators instead. Disgusting!

EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL! Manager very rude and shouting over the phone, making false accusations. Manager need training on customer service and on how to act like a manager rather than using their power to intimidate and scare you. Manager told me not to ever contact them and that they don't see any Safeguarding concerns when there clearly was. Could not take the way she spoke to me on the phone and told her to send an email, nothing received. Sent complaint today and awaiting on investigation. If I could give 0 stars I would!

Awful company. Was a single foster carer for 4 years with them, no respect, no support and no communication. After a child made an allegation about myself I again was given absolutely no support, no information nothing, I didn't even know what the actual allegation was. Only 3 weeks later did I find out I was suspended without pay and I only found this out because obviously I didn't get paid and chased up. Then days later had a phone call from police to be told I'm no longer a suspect and they were leaving rhe investigation, I didn't even know the police were involved or that I was a suspect. Safe to say I handed my notice and left.

As both a care leaver and an employee with Birmingham Children's Trust, I can honestly say the support I have been given is amazing! This organisation has truly helped me turn my life around and they continue to support me to this day.
